On 6 October 2020, a Proclamation from the Governor was received dissolving the 56th Parliament and issuing a writ to a general state election to be held on 31 October 2020. The details below reflects Ministerial appointments (including the Premier) upon dissolution of the 56th Parliament.

In accordance with the Independent Remuneration Tribunal Act 2013, irrespective of specific election outcomes existing Ministerial appointments remain effective until the date a Minister resigns, or the date a new Minister is appointed (whichever is the earlier date).
