Sad Demise of Dr. Q. K. Ghori (1932-2009)

17 May 2009 brought the news of the sad demise of the great and renowned mathematician Dr. Q. K. Ghori. He served the educational institutions for more than 55 years. He did his B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics from Sindh University, M.Sc. in Mathematics from Karachi University and PhD in Applied Mathematics from University of British Columbia, Canada. He served in various renowned institutes which included University of British Columbia, Canada, Sindh University, Pakistan, Garyounis University, Libya, Quaid-I-Azam University Islamabad, King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia, GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Pakistan and COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad. More than 50 of his research papers have been published in renowned national and international journals. His death is indeed a great loss not only for CIIT but for the whole world as well.
