Now, there are over 7,000 disc golf courses around the world with over 5,900 courses in the US and Canada. The growth of disc golf is now visible everywhere. 2016 saw several appearances on ESPN Sportscenter while Philo Brathwaite’s Albatross became the shot seen around the world. Google “Philo albatross” and you’ll be amazed. If there’s a course near you, it’s likely that there are players looking to buy discs, bags, and more. Our name has been synonymous with disc golf for over 33 years because we know what players want.     The Challenge at Goat Hill Park – Presented by Innova Disc Golf 2021 Caddie Book MPO & FPO Divisions May 7-9, 2021 Oceanside, CA Welcome, everyone, to The Challenge at Goat Hill Park – Driven by Innova. The 2021 edition of The Challenge has been just that – a challenge – to organize and prepare. I’m so happy that we are able to present a disc golf competition for you, whether you are playing, volunteering, sponsoring, spectating or viewing. The Challenge continues to grow, in size, scope and stature from year to year. And that growth could not happen without your support and participation. Thank You! Disc golf has seen dramatic growth in the past year and that growth brings with it great excitement, but also great responsibility. Holding a large disc golf tournament in a COVID- aware world means that this event is being run a bit different than pre-COVID. We have instituted some social distancing rules for players and volunteers to follow – we appreciate your help with that. I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to my colleagues at Innova Disc Golf for their support – The Challenge would not happen without them. I would like to introduce all of you to the best game you have never heard of and present you with the opportunity to add something that is beautiful and positive that will last for generations in your community. That something is disc golf. Disc Golf is played much like traditional golf except we throw discs into specially made targets called 'baskets'. The cost is usually free to play and there are over 12,000 courses worldwide including 26 in the maritimes. In fact the Yarmouth region is one of only two regions in all of the Maritimes without a course. We have several people from your area that regularly drive to Bridgewater to play and I would like to help change that. Since 2007 I have built 21 courses in our area plus one in Maine and Newfoundland. I have hosted the Canadian National Disc Golf Championship in 2018 and 2019. These events generated over $150,000 each for the local economy in a 7-day span.
