OWNER’S MANUAL OWNER’S RESPONSIBILITY Consult last page of manual for Warranty Registration This manual contains important information regarding the safe operation and maintenance of your bicycle. Read all sections and appendices before you ride your new bicycle, and carefully follow the instructions. Instructions preceded by the words NOTE, CAUTION, or WARNING are of special significance. NOTE: Instructions which are of special interest. CAUTION: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury, or is an alert against unsafe practices. WARNING: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in serious injury or death. THEFT AND WARRANTY INFORMATION • Record all numbers shown on the bicycle. • Be sure to fill out warranty information online (or mail in if you do not have access to a computer). NOTE: The serial number is not on record where your bicycle was sold or manufactured, you must register it. Keep the following information along with a copy of your sales receipt. Serial Number: Model Name: Store Purchased From: Purchase Date: Color: Size: • Lock your bicycle securely whenever it is out of your sight. • Also, carefully follow the instructions in any additional literature supplied with the bicycle. WARNING: Before your first ride, check the brakes and all cam action retention devices. Service, if necessary, is described in the maintenance section of this manual. • Register your bicycle with your local law enforcement agency & National Bike Registry. • Report any theft immediately. • Add your bicycle to your homeowner’s or apartment insurance policy. Pratt Institute Interior Design Copenhagen Semester Program Spring 2018 We are pleased to announce that the Pratt Copenhagen Semester program will be offered in Spring 2018. More information can be found on the website of the Denmark International Study Program (DIS), www.dis.dk. You may also direct questions to the DIS Coordinator, Prof. Myonggi Sul: [email protected] Qualification and Registration This program is offered to the Juniors in the interior design program during the Spring Semester. Enrollment will be limited to 12 qualified students based on review of your transcript and portfolio. If necessary, a Portfolio interviews will take place by appointment, and a waiting list will be created. In order to qualify, a student must have satisfied the following criteria: A minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, No Incomplete grades No Failing grades Making satisfactory progress in INT 301 and 315 Students interested in participating in the Copenhagen Program should submit a completed Application form and Statement of Interest by Friday, April 28, 2018. Additional information about registration, initial deposit, timelines, etc. will be forthcoming. Curriculum & Course Descriptions From the DIS website: “Design studio is the backbone of the semester in Copenhagen. You will choose between the interior Architecture studio and Urban Design studios, but students from Architecture, Interior Architecture and Urban Design studios are brought together in elective courses, field studies and study tours. Beyond your studio, you will be advised on which courses to take to fulfill your Pratt required course load. In addition, choose 3-credit Architecture & Design or Liberal Arts DIS electives to build a curriculum that meets your needs. -

Among those methods in encouraging cycling implementing public bicycle schemes is one. The public bicycle schemes are also known as bicycle sharing systems, community bicycling schemes etc., The main idea of a public bicycle system is that the user need not own a bicycle but still gain the advantages of bicycling by renting a bicycle provided by the scheme for a nominal fee or for free of charge (as in some cities). Most of these schemes enable people to realize one way trips, because the users needn’t to return the bicycles to the origin, which will avoid unnecessary travel. Public bicycle schemes provide not only convenience for trips in the communities, they can also be a good addition to the public transport system. Encouraging public bike systems have shown that there can be numerous short that could be made by a bicycle instead of using motorised modes. Public bike schemes also encourage creative designs in bikes and also in the operational mechanisms. The current document is one of the several efforts of GTZ-Sustainable Urban Transport Project to bring to the policymakers an easy to access list of available material on Public Bike Schemes (PBS) which can be used in their everyday work. The document aims to list out some influential and informative resources that highlight the importance of PBS in cities and how the existing situation could be improved. -
