Kite surfing is one of the upcoming popular extreme sports, where very few have studied the mechanical forces that act on the body. There are several factors that contribute to mechanical stress, and for preventing injuries it is of interest to investigate how these forces affect the body and how we can develop the equipment and prepare the athletes for making it as safe as possible. Hennie has been at the helm of Remember When since its launch in June 2010, overseeing the build and the maiden voyage from the Columbia River in the Pacific North West, down the West Coast, Central America, through the Panama Canal and San Blas Islands and back to our home port in Florida, and has successfully managed the vessel and crew since. He has traveled independently through the U.S., South America, Central America, Southern Africa, and Australia while pursuing his interests of returning to nature, camping, backpacking/traveling, motorcycle adventuring and cooking out. He enjoys all water sports especially paddle board surfing, scurf boarding and enjoys paragliding. Growing up on a farm and attending Agricultural school drove Hennie to build and run his very own hobby farm, overlooking Table Mountain outside of Cape Town in South Africa. The official equipment supplier Neil Pryde has also stepped in to criticize the entire film. "ISAF is represented by all member countries and most come from the yacht brigade. What they have done is to safeguard their narrow interests and sacrificed windsurfing. What they don't realize is the whole sport of sailing is in danger of being kicked out of the Olympics", said the founder of the wind sports brand. "From a business perspective it doesn't impact me as I will continue to provide the sailing equipment. But from a personal point of view, I think it is a terrible decision for the sport of sailing as a whole.
