Capital Regional District 2019 ANNUAL REPORT Greater Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Year ended December 31, 2019 The CRD acknowledges that it conducts its business in the territory of the Ləkʷ� əŋən (Songhees) and Xwsepsum (Esquimalt) Nations here in the core area, the W̱ S Á N E Ć Nations, including W̱JOȽEȽP (Tsartlip), BOḰEĆEN (Pauquachin), SȾÁUTW̱, (Tsawout) and W̱SIKEM (Tseycum) on the Saanich Peninsula and Gulf Islands, Sc'ianew (Beecher Bay), T’Sou-ke, and Pacheedaht to the west as well as MÁLEXEȽ (Malahat) and Pune’laxutth’ (Penelekut) Nations. All of whom have lived on these lands since time immemorial.
