NEWLY CREATED FORM 444-C, WORKING OUT OF CLASSIFICATION PAY FOR CODE EMPLOYEES The Department has created the new Form 444-C, Working Out of Classification Pay for CODE Employees. The new form is similar to the existing Form 444 (used for AFSCME employees); however, the new form contains language specific to the CODE contract. The new Form 444-C is effective immediately and available in the CPDFORMS folder on the H: drive of Department computers. Employees may direct specific questions pertaining to the Form 444-C to Personnel Management. 2. Students will learn aspects of the Muslim faith most relevant to the law enforcement personnel and their potential impact on law enforcement operations in Arab households and the Arab community. Students will learn about stereotypical misperceptions held by non- Muslims and their factual counters including Sharia Law. The training is offered free of charge. Personnel interested in voluntarily attending this training must submit a completed Form 17TR, Training Request, through the chain of command, to be received at Police Training Section by Wednesday, May 22, 2019. In addition to submitting a hard copy, an electronic copy of the Form 17TR must be emailed to the Police Academy at: [email protected]. FIRST RESPONDERS – SPECIAL EDITION STATIC DISPLAY EVENT The Cincinnati Police and Cincinnati Fire Departments will host the second annual First Responders – Special Edition Static Display event on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, 0930-1230 hours, at the Police Academy. The event is designed to provide students with special needs and developmental disabilities a positive interactive exposure to uniformed first responders. In this setting, the exposure gives the students, families, and school staff an experience that creates an opportunity to build comfort and trust with police officers and firefighters. The trust built during this event with the students can offset the potential for trauma and fear they might experience during interaction in the midst of an actual call for service. The Department will be detailing specific personnel and equipment to the event. Additionally, with the permission of their supervisor, on-duty personnel are encouraged to stop in and show support for the event. Although no overtime is authorized, off-duty personnel are welcome to stop in and participate also. In the event of inclement weather, the rain-out date is Tuesday, May 14, 2019. 4. S.T.A.R.S.
