Collection of war threat statements by the President Ilham Aliyev and other Azerbaijani officials Excerpts from Azerbaijani and international news reports from January 2010 until now September 20, 2017 Ilham Aliyev: “Armenian leadership should not forget this lesson. Otherwise, the result of the next Armenian provocation will be more painful for them” Source: http://en.president.az/articles/25289 President Ilham Aliyev delivered speech at the opening of 72nd Session of UN General Assembly: “Mr. President, Ladies and Gentlemen, For more than 25 years Armenia occupies 20% of the territory of Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh and 7 other regions of our country. Nagorno-Karabakh is an ancient and historical part of Azerbaijan. As a result of Armenian aggression almost 20% of the internationally recognized territory of Azerbaijan is under Armenian occupation. More than one million of Azerbaijanis became refugees and internally displaced persons. Armenia conducted the policy of ethnic cleansing against Azerbaijanis in Armenia, in Nagorno-Karabakh and 7 other regions of Azerbaijan. Armenia committed genocide against Azerbaijanis in Khojaly. Khojaly genocide is already officially recognized by more than 10 countries. On February 26, 1992 Armenia committed war crime killing 613 peaceful residents of Khojaly, among them 106 women and 63 children. One of those war criminals who committed that terrible crime against humanity is current Armenian President. Leading international organizations adopted resolutions demanding withdrawal of Armenian troops from the territory of Azerbaijan. In 1993, United Nations Security Council adopted 4 resolutions demanding immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Armenian troops from the territory of Azerbaijan. Other international organizations, such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Non-Alignment Movement, OSCE, Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and European Parliament adopted similar decisions and resolutions. -

WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION REGIONAL COMMITTEE FOR EUROPE SIXTY-FIRST SESSION Baku, Azerbaijan 12–15 September 2011 Guide for participants Revised 24 July 2011 WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION REGIONAL OFFICE FOR EUROPE Scherfigsvej 8, DK-2100 Copenhagen Ø, Denmark Telephone: +45 39 17 17 17 Fax: +45 39 17 18 18 E-mail: [email protected] Web: http://www.euro.who.int/en/who-we-are/governance Baku Baku lies on the western shore of the Caspian Sea and the southern side of the Absheron Peninsula around the wide, curving sweep of the Bay of Baku. The bay, sheltered by the islands of the Baku Archipelago, provides the best harbour of the Caspian, while the Absheron Peninsula gives protection from violent northerly winds. The name Baku is possibly a contraction of the Persian bad kube (“blown upon by mountain winds“). Baku derives its importance from its oil industry and its administrative functions. History The first historical reference to Baku dates from AD 885, although archaeological evidence indicates a settlement there several centuries before Christ. By the 11th century AD, Baku was in the possession of the Shīrvān-Shāhs, who made it their capital in the 12th century, although for a period in the 13th and 14th centuries it came under the sway of the Mongols. In 1723 Peter I (the Great) captured Baku, but it was returned to Persia in 1735; Russia captured it finally in 1806. In 1920 Baku became capital of the Azerbaijan republic. The old city The core of present-day Baku is the old town, or fortress, of Icheri-Shekher. -

Collection of War Threat Statements by the President Ilham Aliyev and Other Azerbaijani Officials
Collection of war threat statements by the President Ilham Aliyev and other Azerbaijani officials Excerpts from Azerbaijani and international news reports from January 2010 until now July 9, 2018 Ilham Aliyev: Armenia is a loser state President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has chaired a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the results of socio-economic development in the first half of 2018 and future objectives. The head of state made an opening speech at the event. “Armenia is a loser state. Armenian statehood has suffered a fiasco. Their heroes, their generals are thieves, their army is an army of thieves. Today, the people of Armenia see this, the Armenian authorities say this. Justice has triumphed, and the thievish and criminal regime that ruled Armenia for 20 years has completely disgraced itself and was expelled from the political arena. I can say that we also played a role in the fall of this regime. I do not want to blow this out of proportion and, as they say, take credit for that. However, the truth is that as a result of our policy, Armenia was deprived of all the projects that could bring it an income. We have successfully carried out a policy of isolation against them and, without fearing anyone, I have repeatedly said this to the Azerbaijani people and foreign partners. As long as our lands are under occupation, we will pursue the policy of isolation against Armenia. As a result of this policy, Armenia has suffered an economic collapse. It is safe to say that Armenia has no economic prospects.
