The EAC, after detailed deliberations, recommended the project for grant of environmental clearance, we are very thanl< 1 to the committee for the same. After recommendation of E,C, ADS was generated on Parivesh portal on 16.01.2021. Seloo, Dist. Wardha. Maharashtra on a Private Land owned by Ipca Laboratories Limited. The Bor Tiger Reserve covering approximately 138.12 Sq.km as core area, is located about 7 km to the North side of the project site. Government of Maharashtra has notified a Buffer zone 678.15 Sq. I(m. (355.83 Sq.km Forest Area and 322.32 Sq.km Non Forest Area) as Protected Area under Wildlife Protection Act 1972 vide its Notification No.WLP.0B15/C.R. 2,6llF-1. dated 4th December 2015 in order to give space for the Tigers for their movement. The site is located adjacent to the Buffer zone Notified by Government of Maharashtra (Approximatgly 1.4 km to the North side of the project site). As per the GoM Notification dt. 4'r'December 2015, the National Tiger Authority, Government of India Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change vide its letter No. 15-I(33)12015-NTCZ dt. 8th October 2015 has conveyed its approval for declaring the'Buffer Zone'of the Bor Tiger Reserve, under section 38(V) of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, (53 of 1972). copy of the GoM Notification dated 4'n December 2015 with required part highlighted with yellow color is attached as Annexure -I of this letter for your ready reference. We, have received a letter frorn the Forest Department mentioning that project site is located at a distance of 2.4 km from the reserve forest at North side and project is located adjacent to the protected area (Buffer zone). Along with the letter the forest department has attached the information about the declared buffer zone area of Hingani range forest. Copy of letter is also attached as Annexure II. English version of this letter is also attached with this Annexure. r cJtpca Map showing the location of Protected area (Bor Tiger Reserve) and the Notified buffer zone adjacent to the project site is attached as Annexure III. Hence, general conditions are applicable to our above said project since the same is located within 5km from the boundary of Protected Area Notified under the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972. Thus, the proposed project attracts the general condition as per EIA Notification 2006 which mentions that"Any proiect or activity speci/ied in Category 'B'will be treated as Category A", However the project applied under B2 Category as per Notification dated 15'h Octob er 2020. (b) There are 5 National Highway projects where construction have been delayed due to presence of defence land and delay in approvals from Ministry of Defence (MOD). Deliberations with MODare made for speedy transfer of defence land to this Ministry. The details of these projects are at Annexure-II. (c) To ensure quality construction, the NH projects are executed conforming toMoRT&H specifications, norms laid down in the relevant Manuals / IRC codes duly supervised by Authority’s Engineer / Independent Engineers andofficers of State PWD / MSRDC.     Biodiversity Journal, 2018, 9 (3): 171–180 DOI: 10.31396/Biodiv.Jour.2018.9.3.171.180 Butterflies (Lepidoptera Rhopalocera) of the Bor Wildlife Sanctuary, Wardha, Maharashtra, Central India Ashish Tiple Department of Zoology, Vidhyabharti College, Seloo, Wardha 442 104, India; e-mail: [email protected] ABSTRACT The diversity of butterfly species (Lepidoptera Rhopalocera) was studied in the Bor Wildlife Sanctuary, Wardha district area (Central India) of 138.12 km2 from 2011 to 2017. A total of 114 species of butterflies belonging to 6 families were recorded. Most of the butterflies recorded belong to the family Nymphalidae (35 species). 34 Lycaenidae species were recorded. A total of 18 Hesperiidae and 18 Pieridae species were recorded, 8 species were recorded from the Papilionidae and 1 species from the Riodinidae family. Among the 114 butterflies recorded, 9 species come under the protection category of the Indian Wild Life (protection) Act 1972 (i.e., Pachliopta hector, Appias albina, Appias libythea, Eurema an- dersonii, Euploea core, Hypolimnas misippus, Euchrysops cnejus, Lampides boeticus, Ionolyce helicon, Baoris farri). The observations support the value of the National Park (Re- serve forest) area in providing valuable resources for butterflies.
