There is not sufficient evidence to show whether or not the Australian, Tasmanian, and New Zealand Pleistocene glaciation is due solely to local meteorological conditions. In reply to Mr. Finlayson: I am pleased to know that the question of glacia- tion in the south island of New Zealand is receiving the special attention of dis- tinguished New Zealand geologists, and I shall look forward with interest to the publication of the results of their work.
