The KUltura events include the Tyrolean festival Erl, which takes place in both summer and winter, the Operetta Summer at the historical Kufstein Fortress, the passion plays in Erl and Thiersee, as well as the master classes of the Academia Vocalis. Every six years since 1799 the small Tyrolean Valley has been presenting its traditional passion play. Lots of people are already looking forward to the next passion play season. In 2022 it‘s time again: over 250 Thiersee residents of all ages pull together and bring a show to the stage, which to outsiders seems impossible for amateur actors, musicians and technicians.
