Accommodation: Best Western Joytel or similar for 1 night Today after breakfast, you will begin your tour of Japan, starting with a visit to the iconic Osaka Castle where you will explore the building and its surrounds. You will then continue on to the city of Nara, where you will stop to tour the Todaiji Temple and the famous deer park, which is home to over 1,000 holy deer. Your next stop will be at the magnificent Kasuga Taisha shrine, followed by lunch in the city of Kyoto. Accommodation: Apa Hotel Kyoto Gion Excellent or similar for 2 nights Today may be enjoyed at leisure, exploring the beautiful city of Kyoto. You will also have the opportunity to spend the day on our optional tour. The tour will include a visit to Nijo Castle, the Golden Pavillion, Arashiyama Bamboo Forrest, the Nishijin Textile Gallery and the Nishiki Market. Lunch will be provided on the optional tour. Delights of Japan 7/31/2015 7D6N Today you will explore the beautiful Kiyomizu Temple in Kyoto. The temple as a long history, having been first constructed in the 7th century and rebuilt in 1633. The surrounding areas will also be explored, as it is famous for its shopping and the souvenirs, ceramics, Japanese Mochi and snacks that are for sale here. After your tour of Kyoto you will travel to the city of Toyohashi. Accommodation: Loisir Hotel, Toyohashi or similar for 1 night After enjoying breakfast this morning you will head to the Green Tea Field located at Maki No Hara. Once here you will learn about Japanese green tea and sample some authentic brews. You will then continue on to the magnificent Owakudani volcano which overlooks the iconic Mt Fuji. If weather permits, you will enjoy a scenic ride on the famous Hakone Ropeway, which provide sprawling views of the surrounding area. Afterwards, you will travel on to the mesmerising city of Tokyo. Accommodation: Sunshine Prince Hotel Ikebukuro or similar for 2 nights Today you will have the opportunity to explore the city of Tokyo at leisure. Some of the best places to visit include Harajuku Station and Takeshita Road – which offers great shopping and a glimpse of the fascinating Harajuku culture. With over 2.9 million visitors per year, it is one of the largest Resort facilities in the Aichi Prefecture and the largest in the Higashi-Mikawa region. “Laguna Ten Bosch” is located along the national highways Routes 23 and 247, both of which are the region’s main trunk roads. Protective measures against the bomb have already been taken by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force and there is no risk of explosion, but in accordance with the instructions from Hamamatsu City and relevant agencies, the bomb will be transferred to the Enshu-nada coast and disposed of by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force on November 10, 2013 (Sunday). This is to notify our passengers of the effects that the transportation of the bomb is likely to have on our train service. Possible effects on train service The bomb will be transported starting at 8:30 on November 10, 2013 (Sunday), and during this time, trains will be unable to enter the restricted zone set up by Hamamatsu City and relevant agencies. Therefore, services in certain sections of the Tokaido Shinkansen and the Tokaido Line will temporarily be suspended or cancelled. (1)Tokaido Shinkansen ・ Services between Hamamatsu Station and Toyohashi Station will be suspended while the restriction zone is in place. Therefore, there will be delays in trains passing through this section. ・ No trains will be cancelled. ・ Extra trains will be operated before service is suspended. ・ If the work progresses as scheduled, service is expected to return to the normal schedule at around 12:00.
