Enrichment Activities The following activities are recommended for those who have access to the internet. 1. Geography Review: Students can use the 13 colonies map in this packet or Google Tour Builder to identify the following locations on a map: Jamestown, Plymouth, and all 13 British colonies. While completing the map, students should write in notable people/groups and the story behind the settlements. Have students identify how the following people/groups contributed to the development of the colony: Squanto, Anne Hutchinson, Roger Williams, Thomas Hooker, William Penn, Quakers, Pilgrims, Puritans. 2. Geography Review: Students can use the blank North America map or Google Tour Builder in this packet to locate which areas of North America were settled by the Dutch, British, Spanish, and French. As students shade in these areas, they can write the motivations behind and the economic activity of each country’s settlements in North America. 3. The American Revolution review: Have students create flashcards on the following vocabulary terms and practice memorizing them: Quartering Act, Stamp Act, Declaratory Act, Townshend Acts, Boston Massacre, Boston Tea Party, Intolerable/Coercive Acts.
