Petition Let us pray for all the Eastern and Orthodox Churches who, along with our Coptic sisters and brothers, this day begin the celebration of Holy Week. Bidding Let us pray to the Lord. Petition Let us pray for the people of Islam during their Ramadan fast; and let us pray for understanding, respect, and peace among all the children of Abraham: Jews and Christians and Muslims. Petition Let us continue to pray for an end to the COVID-19 crisis, and let us give thank for all who have cared for us in these pandemic days. Bidding Let us pray to the Lord. This week, let us bring before God especially the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean as they struggle in the aftermath of the volcanic eruptions; and for their government; and for the nations and organizations seeking to being them relief. Response Lord, hear our prayer. Petition Let us pray for the healing of the racism and the racial scars that wound the United States, espe- cially as they have shown themselves in Minneapolis. Let us pray that the verdict will mark a new beginning. Let us pray for the family of George Floyd in their grief. And let us pray for Derek Chauvin. Bidding Let us pray to the Lord. Response Lord, hear our prayer. Petition And let us pray for Ma'Khia Bryant: for her rest and resurrection, for the comfort of those who mourn her, and for the people of Columbus.
