EXHIBITS RENTAL CONCESSIONS MANUAL ATTRACTIONS JULY 25 AUG. 5, 2018 GENERAL MANAGER’S MESSAGE As we enter 2018, we enter a landmark anniversary: 165 years. It’s hard to believe that this wonderful event has now happened 164 times, and we’ll be opening the gates yet again on July 25. Over these years our event has changed, but it has also remained true to its roots. Sure – the performers have evolved, the food is ever-changing, and the technology we use has come leaps and bounds – but above all things, we are here to celebrate Ohio and agriculture. When the gates open this year, you’ll see a focus on showcasing our great state even more as we move into the 2018 Ohio State Fair. Vendors who are from Ohio or who sell Ohio Proud products will be provided with decals to display in their booths honoring that commitment. We’ll have more craft beer brewed right here in Ohio, and more entertainers from our home state will be highlighted, and regions from Ohio will be celebrated with special days and displays. As we look into the past, and toward the future, I want to take a moment to thank you. We couldn’t be where we are today if it weren’t for all of the hard work and devotion that you invest to help enhance our customers’ experiences. Everything you do helps our event to be one of Ohioans’ favorite family traditions. So, as we prepare for our 165th Ohio State Fair this summer, I hope that you will again join me as we find togetherness here at the Fair. Here’s to another memorable year!
