Bike Press Information Summer 2021 Status: March 2021 Side

Austria's largest bike region! Lines & trails as versatile as the three locations they connect. A mountain bike trail network with limits only set by your own physical condition and Alpine gravel routes that are hard to beat in their diversity. This is Austria's largest biking region!

The three resorts of Saalbach Hinterglemm, Saalfelden Leogang and Fieberbrunn have long since joined forces as the Skicircus in winter. In the summer of 2020, they combined and offered mountain and gravel bikers over 80 kilometres of lines and trails with 9 lifts on 7 mountains, a joint bike ticket and endless kilo- metres of gravel and asphalt trails for two-wheelers of all genres.

An unparalleled variety of trails 80 kilometres of lines & trails with one ticket! Flowing lines with exciting features, world championship- tested downhill trails in the Epic Bikepark Leogang and bumpy trails for technically experienced endurist riders make Austria's largest biking region the coolest playground in the Alps. However, the trail variety is not only reserved for hobby bikers and the international world elite. Beginners and mini-shredders should try out the new Learn to Ride Park in Saalbach, the Riders Playground, a 10,000 m² practice area in Leogang, and the Easy Park Obingleiten in Fieberbrunn to gradually get to grips with the family-friendly trails.

Mountain biking without limits The choice of the next tour depends solely on your own level of fitness, as the cross-border mountain bike trail network is almost limitless. In Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, you will find a wide range of tours that can be individually tailored to your needs. Everyone is free to decide whether the next tour will be a leisurely round of Alpine pastures, a panoramic tour with the use of the lift or a challenging mara- thon. Whatever you choose, you can recharge the batteries and indulge in some refreshments in one of the numerous huts after a cool day out.

Gravel biking in the Alps Gravel biking is much more of a lifestyle than a discipline. Whether touring, fast off-road laps on gravel roads and forest paths or leisurely exploration tours: gravel biking always promises a truly memorable expe- rience. The region, so far largely known as a mountain bike destination, turns out to be an insider's tip for this trendsetting sport. But what distinguishes gravel bikers from road bikers? While with a road bike, you are confined to the asphalt roads, the somewhat less restrictive geometry and the profile of the tyres of a gravel bike mean freedom, riding fun, adventure, and the experience of nature away from the busy roads. Around Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn lies a true Alpine gravel road paradise with any num- ber of different touring opportunities.

Endless scope Austria's largest biking region offers thrilling biking experiences regardless. With the E-MTB boom, how- ever, a completely different meaning is ascribed to this excitement. The charging stations on the mountain are ready for use, the rental shops have stocked up, and all mountain bike paths and trails are, of course, also accessible to E-Bikers with no limitations. Specially designated E-Bike routes are simply touring rec- ommendations that are particularly suitable for E-mountain bikers. Stop, recharge, and continue cycling is the motto when you comfortably recharge your bike at a hut while taking a short break.

The offer is rounded off by biker-oriented services such as bike shops, rental, bike schools, guiding and practice areas for beginners. And bikers are also welcome guests in accommodation, restaurants, and huts.

News 2021

There is plenty to do in between the seasons! In 2021 there will again be new trails, improved infrastruc- ture, and news about biking in Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn:

Learn to Ride Park in Saalbach At the foot of the Kohlmaisbahn in Saalbach, a new Learn to Ride Park will open at the beginning of the biking season. On four "mini-lines", small versions of the Saalbach Hinterglemm trails, with a magic carpet and a circular course, mini-shredders and beginners can take their first attempts on constructed bike trails and improve their skills. With lengths between 180 and 340 metres, beginners can try their first bike ex- periments free of charge on gentle terrain, without the hurdle of having to descend a 2,000-metre moun- tain immediately.

Reconstruction of the Monti-Trail The lower section of the Monti Trail will be rebuilt and will feature a modified route with beginner-friendly curves.

20th anniversary of the Bikepark Leogang The Epic Bikepark Leogang is one of the most renowned bike parks in Europe. This summer, it celebrates its 20th anniversary. There is plenty to look forward to, as Saalfelden Leogang and the Bikepark Leogang have invested a total of more than one million Euros in the past two years and have thus considerably ex- panded the bike facilities. In 2020, the Riders Playground, a 10,000 m² practice area, was expanded with numerous new attractions. The Hot Shots fired by GoPro was converted into a massive jumpline and the 5,000 m² asphalt World Champs Pumptrack with jump and dirtline has become an actual "get together" venue with a real fun factor. In 2021, there will again be many new features.

New Downhill Line – Vali`s Hölle In October 2020, the UCI Mountain Bike Downhill and Cross-Country World Championships took place in the Leogang Bike Park for the second time. A new, natural, and technically challenging section created a lot of excitement at the downhill race. It went down in the history books as a result. From this summer on,

Bike Press Information Summer 2021 Status: March 2021 Side

this section is available to you as an independent downhill line for shredding! Just turn left before the 100% wallride on the Speedster and Flying Gangster and head into the forest.

Update Hot Shots fired by GoPro The Hot Shots fired by GoPro was wholly transformed into a fat Jumpline in summer 2020. Based on the positive feedback we received, we are confident that the conversion was an "epic" success. In 2021 we are giving the Hot Shots an additional facelift. The entrance will be moved directly to the top station. This will make the line about 125 m longer, providing even more airtime! Please don't forget: The Hot Shots fired by GoPro is not a line for rookies - here, you need to have the right skills!

Reshape Hangman I The Hangman I was given a complete reshape in autumn 2020 for even more riding fun.

Reshape Hangman II The Hangman II will get a reshape in spring and will be redesigned in certain sections. The line will be opti- mised and have more flat and easy jumps for all levels.

Reshape Flow Link In autumn 2020, the Flow Link was also reshaped, and various jumps were optimised. Depending on the choice of line, this freeride line can be ridden by all levels.

GoPro Bagjump Landingbag In 2011, the first GoPro Bagjump replaced our Foam Pit. Since then, the Bagjump has been a fixed com- ponent of the Bikepark Leogang and is used also for training. In 2021 the GoPro Bagjump will be getting an upgrade. A new 15-metre landing bag, adapted to the landing angle, will ensure even more fun and safe- ty from then on.

Lumberjack/Bikemovie reconstruction In summer 2020, a slight modification of the Lumberjack Trail/Bikemovie was planned. However, during the construction work, the project became bigger and bigger. The result is really something to be proud of. Perfect drops, nice round lines and a wallride the size of a cinema screen! If you like, you can be filmed during the ride and watch the video directly at the Skiline Terminal at the valley station of the Asitzbahn or online and share it with friends.

Keep the Epic Bikepark clean Epic biking enjoyment also means treating nature with respect. That is why the motto at Bikepark Leogang is "Keep the Epic Bikepark clean". For this reason, tear-off systems are not allowed. As a goodie, however, you get a replacement film for a roll-off system and a 10% voucher at Sport Mitterer for 100% roll-off goggles when you buy a ticket in rainy weather.

Knappentrail in Saalfelden Leogang Get ready for the Knappentrail! It shares the entrance and exit with the well-known Schwarzleo trail, but otherwise, it snakes its way down the slope independently. Only sometimes does a quick glance to the right reveal its older brother. Like its fellow Schwarzleo, Forsthof and Matzalm trails, the Knappentrail is a natural trail. This means that no heavy equipment is used in its construction, and only natural elements are used - pure manual labour.

Bike Area Fieberbrunn – Streuböden One trail, two lines and a pump track. These are the new features awaiting bikers in Fieberbrunn this com- ing summer. Kids, newcomers and "pleasure trailers" alike will get their money's worth between the middle and valley station of the Streuböden gondola. Endurist riders now have even more route options to com- bine the most beautiful ups and downs in the Greater Region! The new Schweinestberg trail (4 km/easy) from the middle station leads over a wooded mountain ridge back to the Streuböden valley station and offers plenty of enjoyment, fun and flow. After a short roll-in section, the trail branches off into the forest. North Shores, undulating passages, plenty of curves and wide lines will put a big grin on bikers' faces! For those who have never been to a bike park before, or want to hone their technique, the Easy Park Ob- ingleiten at the Streuböden valley station is the perfect place! On the two lines, you can perfect your bike control, and balance on 20 to 25 hairpin bends peppered with wooden elements. The converted tellerlift takes you comfortably to the top. The new pump track offers endless fun. Ride in, pick up speed, "pump" over the waves and test the banking in the curves. For the smallest bikers, the greatest, for the pros, a welcome opportunity to warm up or work out.

Real downhillers will find precisely the rough conditions they are looking for on this route.

Pro-Line The Pro-Line is the great-grandfather of bike trails in Saalbach Hinterglemm. As the first downhill trail in the region, is far from outdated but receives regular facelifts, such as recently many new jumps and an improved course layout with multiple choices and Evil Eye features.

Hacklberg-Trail Lay- wait for it! With its natural character and unique panorama, the Hacklberg Trail is THE must-ride trail in Saalbach Hinterglemm. With the Buchegg Trail that directly follows, which leads directly to the valley station of the Westgipfelbahn. From 2020 onwards, this results in an almost endless downhill run with over 1,000 metres of depth.

Bergstadl-Trail Looking for technical, blocky single trails? You will find what you're looking for on the Bergstadl Trail! The hearts of technical bikers beat faster here. Hairpin bends, root passages and blocky stone fields are all on the menu on this challenging trail.

Gravel biking in the Alps

Gravel biking in Austria's largest bike region? The region, so far primarily known as a mountain bike desti- nation, turns out to be an absolute insider tip for gravel bikers. A trend that is booming.
