The Tennessee contest served as the home-opener for the Tigers as scheduled home games against North Texas (postponed until Oct. 29) and Arizona State (moved to Tempe) were changed due to Hurricane Katrina. LSU wasted little in jumping on the Vols as Joseph Addai raced 19-yards for a score on the Tigers' first play from scrimmage early in the first quarter.
