Start/Finish: Sett Valley Trail Car Park, cobbled lane (signed 'Pennine Bridleway (1/2 km) Hayfield, Derbyshire Lantern Pike'). Join a concrete track & continue 4 Leave the track & go S (right) on a path Grid Ref: SK036869 NE (straight on) to reach a road. Go E (right) (signed 'Little Hayfield'). Continue S through Sat Nav: N53.3790 W1.9474 briefly before continuing NNE (left) up a lane Hey Wood & then past some cottages. Keep S (signed 'Pennine Bridleway Lantern Pike') to (straight-on) at each fork to pass a pond reach a gate. Go through & leave the Pennine (below you) to reach Swallowhouse Lane. Bridleway (PBW) & go W (left) up a rocky path. (2 km) When you reach the ridge go N (right) along 5 Go ESE (left) into Hayfield & then S (right) the ridge to the summit of Lantern Pike on Market St past the village pubs & teashops. (monument). (13/4 km) Cross the bridge over the River Sett & then go W (right) between the Bulls Head & the church to reach a pedistrian crossing over the A624. Blackshaw Cross & continue W back to the car park & the Bullshaw Farm start.
