There is a diversity of multicomponent reactions of this useful reagent. This article aims to review the advances in the use of isatin as starting material in the synthesis of various organic compounds and drugs up to June 2016. Keywords: Isatin, organic compounds, heterocyclic compounds, carbocyclic compounds DOI: https://doi.org/10.24820/ark.5550190.p009.980 Page 148 ©ARKAT USA, Inc Arkivoc 2017, i, 148-201 Moradi, R. et al.
