ACT! for Canada Facebook Group Which We Encourage You to Join! “Immigration, a benefit during the youth of a nation, can act as a disease in its mature state. Too much internal diversity in large nations has led to violence and disintegration. We are now in the process of destabilizing our own countries. The magic words of destabilizers are ‘diversity’ and ‘multiculturalism’.” ~ Garret Hardin ~ Canada There is no let up from Islamists in Ontario who continue to make demands to push Sharia/Islamic law (ideology) in Canada. They are now requesting prayer spaces be created at Toronto subways – but go on to say it won't stop there...hospitals, malls, airports, etc. It is important we unite across the country and take ACTION as what happens in Ontario will become common practise across this nation. Questions linger after whirlwind story of Saudi teen's asylum." The title itself insinuated something was not kosher about l'affaire Rahaf. If the title implied a questionable process, the text of the story made no attempt at hiding the story's lack of balance. https://www.meforum.org/57599/rahaf-case-exposes-some-inconvenient- truths-about-islamic-world Rahaf Mohammed, Linda Sarsour, and the Question of Apostasy It’s a very important case. Thanks to Rahaf Mohammed, the world has been given a good look at several aspects of Islam that deserve to be held up for inspection. First, there is the demonstration that despite Qur’an 2:256, a favorite verse for Islamic apologists that says “there is no compulsion in religion,” the example of Rahaf Mohammed shows that there most certainly is “compulsion” in the religion of Islam. The threat of death for apostasy, which Rahaf Mohammed clearly fears, constitutes all the “compulsion” any Muslim needs to stay within the faith. https://www.jihadwatch.org/2019/01/hugh-fitzgerald-rahaf-linda-sarsour- and-the-question-of-apostasy-part-one Canada: Muslima tried to join the Islamic State, cops did nothing; then she attacked people with a butcher knife She was screaming “Allahu akbar” during her attack and wrote about her hope that Allah would “grant me martyrdom for His sake, for the elevation of his religion and to take revenge from the criminal infidels.” Not that this has anything to do with… https://www.jihadwatch.org/2019/01/canada-muslima-tried-to-join-the- islamic-state-cops-did-nothing-then-she-attacked-people-with-a-butcher- knife Canadian woman who converted to Islam strangled to death in honor killing in Pakistan A Canadian woman who converted to Islam was murdered in an honour killing investigators say was made to look like a suicide. I strongly condemn all forms of violence, including violence motivated by hatred and bigotry, and I call on all Canadians to affirm their commitment to civil, open dialogue and non-violence. But if we are to fully understand this tragedy, we must pursue truth and speak openly about Islamic terrorism. I would like to propose a week to remember the victims of Islamic killings in Canada. Why shouldn’t we remember Aqsa Parvez, strangled by her father and brother with the Hijab she refused to wear; or Zainab, Sahar and Geeti Shafia and their step-mother, Rona Amir Mohammad, cruelly drowned by their father, mother and brother? Or how about 20 year old Bano Shahdady, strangled in front of her 2 year old son by her husband for throwing away her burka? What about 13-year-old Marrisa Chen, murdered by a Syrian refugee last year? Where is the sympathy for them? The candles? The flowers? The vigils? The hand-wringing? The interfaith services honouring their memory? Should they not be remembered too? “The process of settlement is a ‘Civilization-Jihadist Process’ with all the word means. The Ikhwan (Muslim Brotherhood) must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.” ~ The Muslim Brotherhood in America ~ Canada Islamic Party of Ontario leader says Liberals “are killing Islam” and hopes to start party based on Qur’an values Parties with religious undertones are not unheard of in Canada, but this is the first time that an Islamist party hopes to enter the Canadian political scene. By early last month, the Islamic Party of Ontario or “Islamic Ontario” had already published its principles and policies on its party website. The page states that the party holds the belief that Islam is the native religion of Canada, justifying this claim by pointing to a clause in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms that mentions the supremacy of God in Canada. https://www.truenorthinitiative.com/islamic_party_of_ontario_leader_says_ liberals_are_killing_islam Sharia Law Political Party Must Not Be Allowed The formal certification of a political party so diametrically opposed to democracy and to our way of life, and which could ultimately result in our enslavement, is completely unacceptable. • Rahaf, Un'apostata in Fuga Dai Sauditi E Dall'islam

  • Saudi Women and Public Protest on Twitter a Critical Discourse Analysis of Emergency Calls for Protection Or Protest and the Users’ Responses in Return
“Only you can save my life” Saudi women and public protest on Twitter A Critical Discourse Analysis of emergency calls for protection or protest and the users’ responses in return. Lina Alkowatly Malmö University, June 26, 2019 Media and Communication Studies: Culture, Collaborative Media, and the Creative Industries One-year Master Thesis (15 Credits) Spring, 2019 Supervisor: Dr. Temi Odumosu Examiner: Dr. Erin Cory 1 Abstract Since the Arab Spring uprisings in 2011, Twitter has proven to be a useful mobilization tool for citizens within the relatively closed societies of the Arab world. Twitter affirms that unheard voices can now be heard and the claims on social and political practices are being exposed to public discussion. Within this debate, women’s right’s issues have floated to the surface. In societies like Saudi Arabia, a culture of modesty and conservatism exists, and the implication of male guardianship law restricts the ways in which women can participate in the public sphere. Twitter has provided a medium for challenging this culture. Here, the contradictions inherent in restrictions on Saudi women are being renegotiated, and there is a new landscape of social activism in the kingdom. This thesis sheds some light on these issues by studying tweets created by one online protester, Rahaf Mohammed Al-Qunun, as a case study. Her use of Twitter during the whole experience of fleeing from her family stimulated many responses from the Twitter community, and some users helped to facilitate her escape. Focusing on a selection of Al-Qanun’s tweets and responses to them by Twitter users, this thesis uses quantitative Content Analyses to address the large data sets, in combination with Critical Discourse Analysis.
