A brand, which is loved throughout Europe and inspires trust, due to its quality, safety, service and a convincing price/performance ratio. 2 Experience derived from nearly 100 years of company history In 1919 Hugo Dornseif founded a company in Radevormwald and gave it its name: HUgo DOrnseif RAde- vormwald – HUDORA. To this day the company is completely owned by the family and is being led by the fourth generation of owners. The focus is on sport, leisure and ftness products. Founded as an ice skate factory, after its initial disappointments came the successful breakthrough with master class fgure skating ice skates: From 1934, world-class skaters like Kalli Schäfer (Austria) skated on HUDORA skates. 1964 was the most successful sporting year in the company’s history for the legendary “Super Prominent” HUDORA skates: Marika Kilius und Hans-Jürgen Bäumler became world champions in pair skating and Manfred Schnelldorfer became world champion and Olympic winner in the men’s individual class. In the 1950s, 60s and 70s, Germany was the most successful roller-skating nation in the world. Ger- man athletes regularly win medals on the “K 50” skate made by HUDORA. At the start of the 1970s, the founder’s grandson Eike Dornseif initiated the standardisation of the roller skate and ice skate products in accordance with DIN standards. He internationalised the production. In 1980, Evelyn Dornseif became Managing Director of HUDORA GmbH and took over commercial ma- nagement. The product range was expanded. In addition to ice skates and roller skates there were rol- ler boots, skateboards, inline skates, scooters, football goals, children’s vehicles, trampolines, climbing frames and swings, ftness equipment and a range of summer toys and slids. The range focused broadly on leisure activities and sport in the family. In 2007, Dr Maximillian Dornseif became Managing Director of HUDORA GmbH. First of all, he reorgani- sed logistics.
