JNJG Masters Points Race

The JNJG Masters Points Race is designed to recognise players who are consistent performers in all JNJG Junior Masters Series Events in 2020.

JNJG will offer the winning Boy and Girl in the 12 & 13 Years, 14 & 15 Years, and 16 Years & Over Divisions an exemption and $500 scholarship to represent JNJG at the 2020 Greg Norman Junior Masters, run by Golf Queensland on the Gold Coast in December.

The 11 Years and Under Division Points Race Winner will also be recognised, with the winning Boy and Girl* (*numbers permitting) receiving a $500 JNJG scholarship to help attend events the following year.

Eligibility Criteria • Points will be allocated according to four divisions, 11 Years & Under, 12 & 13 Years, 14 & 15 Years, 16 Years and Over. • For the Masters Points Race, all participants will be placed in the age division turn in 2020, except for those who play an event in the 11 Years & Under Division. (This is due to the different course set-up and the different tournament conditions for players in the 11 & Under Age Division) • Those in the 11 Years & Under Division will receive points separately and may find themselves on two points race Leaderboards at the end of the year, depending on when their birthday is. A player who ends the year as a 12-Year-Old can win the 11 Years & Under Masters Points Race.

• Example…….Joe Smith turns 16 on April 1st, 2020. At the 2019 Brett Ogle Junior Masters (November 2019), Wagga Wagga Junior Masters (February 2020) and Peter O’Malley Junior Masters (March 2020), Joe will compete in the 14 and 15 Years Division as he is only 15 years old at these events. When points are allocated for the Points Race, he is placed in the 16 Years and Over division.

• There is no minimum number of rounds required for the points race. • If there is a tie at the end of the year, and more than one person finishes on the same number of points, the winner will be the person with the best adjusted Master of the Masters Average.

Points Allocation at each event in 2020 • Winner - 60 Points • Runner Up - 40 Points • 3rd > 5th - 30 Points • 6th > 10th - 20 Points • Outside Top Ten - 10 Points
