ABSTRACT Amravathi is the riverfront capital city of Andhra Pradesh. It is located on the southern banks of the Krishna river in Guntur district,16.5730° N, 80.3575° E within the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region spread over an area of 217.23 km2 Amaravati, is situated in Guntur district, was once the seat of power of Satavahana rulers. INTRODUCTION Amravathi is the riverfront capital city of Andhra Pradesh. It is located on the southern banks of the Krishna river in Guntur district,16.5730° N, 80.3575° E within the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region spread over an area of 217.23 km2 Amaravati, is situated in Guntur district, was once the seat of power of Satavahana rulers. Apart from the historical and cultural importance, the city is also centrally located. A report in The Indian Express notes that it is "easily accessible from north and south, coastal districts and the Rayalaseema region".

OBJECTIVE 1. To collect details about various constructions started by the government of Andhra Pradesh. 2. Come up with a map showing locations of construction materials 3. To study and evaluate the properties of construction materials around the capital

METHODOLOGY 1. Collection of literature. 2. Collection of relevant maps 3. Collection of data on mining locations. 4. Collection of samples. 5. Testing of samples. 6. Compilation of results. 7. Preparation of map and report showing construction materials.

TESTS PERFORMED ON SAMPLES 1. Aggregate crushing test. 2. Aggregate impact test. 3. Specific gravity of Aggregates. 4. Abrasion test on aggregates. 5. Water absorption. 6. Flakiness and elongation index. All the above tests are performed based on IS 2386, IS 1124. CONCLUSION • Sample with highest crushing strength is available in P.Nainaram • Sample with highest impact strength is available in Lam • Sample with highest specific gravity is available in P.Nainaram • Sample with highest abrasion is available is P.Nainaram & V.D.Puram • sample with least water absorption is available in Lam • sample with highest flakiness index is available in G.Konduru • sample with highest elongation index is available in P.Nainaram • sample with highest bitumen adhesiveness in available in Lam P.Nainaram is concluded as best quarry for coarse aggregates because of it high crushing test, highest abrasion, highest elongation index & highest specific gravity according to IS 2386, IS 1124.
