The theme of the conference focuses on 'Healthcare Waste Management, Antimicrobial Resistance & Climate Change'. Deliberations by eminent speakers from health care establishments, industries, service providers and regulators are scheduled to provide a comprehensive approach to address waste handling procedure, technical, operational, economic and logistical constraints together with the optimization approach to achieve economic and sustainable model. Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences & Technology, Jaipur MGUMST has 1,400 bed teaching hospital, Mahatma Gandhi Hospital and a teaching Dental Hospital. All beds in the "General Ward" are free beds to cater the needs of the general masses of State of Rajasthan especially the poor and the weaker section of the society. MGH also provides adequate clinical teaching material as envisaged by Medical Council of India, Dental Council of India, and Indian Nursing Council. The world - class infrastructure with the state- of- art medical equipment and highly reputed and experienced medical consultants / doctors / paramedical staff of MGH provide clinical support to the faculty of medicine resulting into most efficient teaching in these institutions. Indian Society of Hospital Waste Management- New Delhi ISHWM is a registered National body of experts in healthcare waste management. The ISHWM has been playing a pioneering role in the revision and updation of BMW Management Rules, 2016, working hand in hand with like minded bodies and organizations namely Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Central Pollution Control Board, WHO SEARO and WHO Country Office, Safdarjung Hospital, Indira Gandhi National Open University, Government of NCT of Delhi and various Central and State Government Hospitals. ISHWM has for the first time opened its Karnataka State Chapter in year 2018, followed by AIIMS Rishikesh in 2019. AIIMS New Delhi and AIIMS Rishikesh are Institutional Members of ISHWM. The ISHWM has been active in capacity building and training, research studies and consultancy services, for over 6 years now, in collaboration with aforesaid organizations.
