2018 RAINBOW WAHINE SOFTBALL RECORD BOOK RAINBOW WAHINE SOFTBALL STADIUM The Rainbow Wahine have played their home contests on campus since the program turned intercol- HAWAII AT RWSS legiate in 1985. The field, formerly known as Wahine Softball Field, was transformed into the current Year Home Record Win.% 1,200-seat stadium prior to the 1998 season and has since added a batting house and training/hospi- 1998 28-2 .933 tality room to the complex. This year, the RWSS underwent its first major renovations since its construc- 1999 19-3 .864 tion in 1998. NEWSLETTER - 1 APRIL 2017 Español Fukushima stadium added to line-up for Olympic baseball, softball at Tokyo 2020 Games PYEONGCHANG, Rep. of Korea -- Fukushima's Azuma Baseball Stadium has been added as an official venue for Olympic baseball and softball events at the Tokyo 2020 Games. The International Olympic Committee approved the 30,000-seat venue at its executive board meetings today in Pyeongchang, Republic of Korea. The Fukushima proposal was put forward in a collaboration between hosts Tokyo 2020 and the world governing body of baseball and softball, WBSC. The region was devastated by the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake. Tokyo 2020 and WBSC will work together on a plan to stage Olympic baseball and softball matches featuring Japan's National Teams in Fukushima. "WBSC congratulates Tokyo 2020 President Mori and IOC President Bach on this great step taken with Olympic baseball and softball as a vehicle to inspire hope and highlight the regeneration in Fukushima," WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari said. "It is a tremendous honour and a duty we take very seriously to be a part of something so meaningful - to serve the Olympic Movement and to use the power of sport to shape a better world. It is in this wonderful spirit that WBSC held the U-15 Baseball World Cup last year in Iwaki, Fukushima." Read more... Scoring Softball LEVEL TWO Complete Scoring for Club and Association Scorers National Scoring Committee Version 2.11 May 2021 Scoring Softball Level Two Course Requirements Scoring Softball Level Two Complete Scoring for Club and Association Scorers This manual accompanies the Level Two Scorers Course. The total duration is approximately 6 hours. Assessment: Candidates are required to score one regulation game with sufficient elements to demonstrate the ability of the candidate. Upon successful completion of the course, Level 2 Softball Scorers will be able to: Show broader knowledge of the scoresheet. Use colours to record plays. Apply their knowledge of the rules when officiating. Record special plays such as fielder’s choice, sacrifices and tie-break runners correctly. Record all changes consistently. Demonstrate consistent and impartial judgement in recording all actions of the game. Correctly record the time and situation of the game when a protest arises. Abide by relevant State Child Protection Legislation and/or relevant Sport Child Protection Policies.
