D rexel new s in brief N esbitt college holds fashion show SunDragon II correction ; ' ■si'1 According to SunDragon II team rcprescniativcs, iheir with drawal from last week’s American Tour de Sol was prompted only by safety concerns for the SunDragon II and its driver. Unconnrmcd reports filed by representatives traveling with the team indicated that problems with the car’s electric motor causcd its braking system to fail. Team representatives said this week that the motor performed as expected, but the car’s regenerative braking system, which is dependent on the motor, was not designed to handle the hilly ter rain of the Tour de Sol. Continuing in the race, representatives said, endangered both the car and the driver, whose only backup was a manual braking system. Reports that Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Virginia Polytechnic Institute had withdrawn from the race were also inac curate, SunDragon staffers said. Neither school competed in the race at all, they said.
