The Argentines produce four models: the Militar is the standard military variant, and conforms most closely to the original HP-35; the M-90 is a modified version of the Militar, with a lengthened slide stop, reshaped manual safety, anatomical grips, and a plastic projection above the magazine well at the front to help with the grip. The "Detective," as it sounds, is a compact version of the M-90 for concealed work. The M-95 has two new safeties, a firing pin safety and an ambidextrous thumb safety. It also has adjustable front and rear sights. Twilight 2000 Story: Some of these pistols were still being used as late as 2025; however, the M-95 was never built. Merc 2000 Story: This was sometimes a more-obtainable option than a "real" Hi-Power, and sold very well. The weapon is difficult to detect on X-rays when disassembled (the barrel and part of the bolt are still made of metal). The Glock 17A became the standard sidearm of the Austrian military, and various Glock models have become increasingly popular with police and military forces worldwide. The weapon sparked controversy when introduced due to it’s supposed ability to go through X-Rays and metal detectors without being spotted. It is believed to be the smallest handgun ever built, designed for the tiny purses that women were carrying at the time. They remain the smallest semiautomatic handguns ever made. The Kolibri requires tiny rounds, which are unfortunately underpowered and cause little more than annoying damage. Today, Kolibris are the province of those who collect exotic antique weapons; a real Kolibri will sell for hundreds of times the game price listed here. Twilight/Merc 2000 Story: As Real World Story. The craftsmanship and quality were so good that most surviving examples of this pistol still work quite well. It is unusual for a pistol in that the operation is by delayed blowback, something normally found in heavier battle rifles or automatic rifles. The magazine is in the grip, but it is not removable; the slide is pulled back instead, and a charger of cartridges inserted from the top. The differences between the M-1900 and the M-1905 are in the magazine, which is larger in the M-1905, and the rear sight, which is above the chamber in the M-1900 and rear of the slide on the 1905 to give a longer sight radius. • Technologies of Concealed Carry in Gun Culture 2.0
“The First Rule of Gunfighting is Have a Gun”: Technologies of Concealed Carry in Gun Culture 2.0 Paper Presented at The Copeland Colloquium on “The Symbolic and Material Construction of Guns” Amherst College 3-4 March 2017 David Yamane Professor of Sociology Wake Forest University [email protected] In April 2016, the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) its second annual Concealed Carry Expo (CCX) at the Georgia International Conventional Center near Hartsfield International Airport in Atlanta. The event is billed as “the nation’s only event dedicated to the CCW lifestyle” (see Figure 1). Although the idea of a “lifestyle” might seem to trivialize the practice of citizens carrying deadly weapons in public, the reality is quite the opposite. Over the course of three days, various seminars repeatedly stress the seriousness and importance of being a regular and responsible armed citizen. Figure 1. Flier for 2nd Annual USCCA Concealed Carry Expo 1 A seminar on the laws governing the use of lethal force in self-defense by attorney Andrew Branca is free and open to the public. Although it begins at 8:00am, the audience is literally standing room as the overflow spills out from the combined German 1 and 2 suites into the hallway. Branca later signs copies of the third edition of his book, The Law of Self-Defense, which the USCCA has licensed and is giving away free of charge to Expo attendees. Other seminars presented throughout the weekend cover concealed carry basics for beginners, hand-to- hand techniques to employ before using a firearm, mental preparation for self-defense, weapon retention, and gunshot wound treatment.

Subject: Weapons & Items Requests for UC-1.13/DL-1.13/AFS Posted by Wil473 on Mon, 08 Aug 2011 22:28:31 GMT View Forum Message <> Reply to Message Looks like Smeagol beat me to creating one of these. As I am sharing items between the three mods, spinning out a thread for weapon and item requests. Please include at a minimum: - link to more information - rational why I should be adding your favourite gun to three different mods (I've included a list of weapons already in-mod to avoid embarrassing incidents of duplication) - description to item (bonus points if it is usable in-game) - graphics (bonus points if they are usable in-game, and you are the artist so I don't need to track anyone down for permission) Note, that with New Magazine System (NMS) in the works, this thread will be mostly to gather information for future "Advance Capability" versions of the mods that will be created after the current "offical" cycle of v1.13 releases. Specifically NMS, so far, has a few features that not only simplifies adding unique magazine capacities and multiple magazine capacities, but on considering what ChrisL has already stated to be his plans for NMS, features that can be exploited (ie. not ChrisL's intention, but I plan on abusing it for this purpose) to make supporting a common item list between multiple mods much easier... EDIT (2016/10/03): This thread has been replaced by The 2nd Weapons & Items Requests for UC-1.13/DL-1.13/AFS noticed the list was broken when clearing the Sticky flag on this thread.
