Song Inaugurates SFO-JFK Service New Low Fare Service to City

SAN FRANCISCO -- Song will begin nonstop service between International Airport and New York-JFK on July 4, 2005. Song is the seventh airline to announce new service at SFO in just the past eighteen months (AirTran, Air New Zealand, WestJet, Virgin America, Independence, and Icelandair are the other six.)

To commemorate this new, low-cost, cross-country service, representatives from Song and the San Francisco International Airport will be hosting a celebration at Gate 44 in Boarding Area “C” of Terminal 1 on Monday, July 4, 2005 beginning at 10:00 a.m. With the arrival of Song’s first flight at 10:30 a.m., the Airport Division of the San Francisco Fire Department will provide an official welcome with a traditional water canon salute.

When: Monday, July 4, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. (Please note media desiring access to Gate 44 be at the security checkpoint at Boarding Area “C” NO LATER THAN 10:00 a.m.)
