Rävdansens Stuteri Lindarsnäs Gård 1 635 37 ÄRLA A4 BACK TO INDEX Welcome to our Stockholm Online Yearling Sale! armly welcome all racing friends to this year’s yearling sale which is going vir- tual! The pandemic that we are all affected by has of course also left its mark on our sale. We have no opportunity this year to receive visitors to the extent we otherwise gladly welcome. But innovation is born out of necessity, and we are very happy to be able to present a new setting for the 2020 Yearling W Sale, our first sale that goes virtual! In order to still keep some of the engaging atmosphere that a live sale is bringing, our setting will be including a live sale as well, but where the horses will not be present, and instead displayed on large screens. Unfortunately, we have to limit the number of guests for this live event, but strongly encoura- ge others to follow the sale online, as that is where it will all happen. We plan to hold a digital sale as further described on the next page! The sale is scheduled to start digitally on the website on Thursday 17th of September at 12.00. Presumed buyers will have to register themselves and get acceptance, via a link provided on our website (www.saef.se). You can find the horses you are interested in on our site, study photos and films and via a link submit bids until the sale closes on Saturday 19th of September. The physical part of the sale will be held at Aronsborg Conference Hotel the 19th of September where in- vited trainers and other prospective buyers can place bids as the horses are presented on big screens. This live part of the sale starts at 1.30 pm (13.30) and lasts until the last horse is sold. All yearlings passing through the ring - recalled as well as sold - are eligible to register for the Jockey Club’s Auction Race 2020. In this catalogue you will find the participants - and the winner - in this race with €80,000 in total prize money. The catalogue is an interesting mix of proven and new pedigrees. Several of the breeding stallions have already left high class offspring, and in addition there are some very interesting new stallions. As tradition dictates, Tattersall’s Alastair Pim holds the hammer, a guarantee for speed and fun during bidding. A successful sport needs a successful breeding and it should pay off to buy Swedish horses. Swedish bred 2-, 3- and 4-year-old thoroughbreds receive up to 40% more in addition to the prize money, in the form of horse owner premiums in all open races in Sweden. In addition, the Scandinavian Breeders’ System concept with several millions in prize money, is a strong incentive to invest in Swedish bred horses. Nowadays, the first and the second entry are common for the Breeders races in Sweden, Norway and Denmark; an entered yearling is thus automatically registered in all three countries. Join us and share the millions - sit at home on the couch S ÅR with relatives and friends and bid on our nice yearlings OLM IN H GS K A on September 19th! Built 1903-4; Jardine, Kent & Jardine, architects Landmark Site: Block 558, Lot 43, in part, consisting of the property on which the 1903-04 structure is located On September 7, 2006 the Landmarks Preservation Commission held a public hearing on the proposed designation of the Van Tassell & Kearney Auction Mart and the proposed designation of the related Landmark site. Twenty-four people spoke in support of designation, including Council member Rosie Mendez and representatives of Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, State Senator Tom Duane, State Assembly member Deborah Glick, the Union Square Community Coalition, the Municipal Art Society, the Metropolitan Chapter of the Victorian Society in America, the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation, the Society for the Architecture of the City, the Historic Districts Council, Landmark West! and the New York Landmarks Conservancy. Summary The former Van Tassell & Kearney auction mart is a three-story Beaux-Arts style building on the south side of East 13th Street, between Third and Fourth Avenues. Built in 1903-04, the handsome structure is one of the last remaining buildings in New York City that was erected for staging horse auctions. Designed by the New York architects Jardine, Kent & Jardine, the fifty-foot- wide red brick facade terminates in a rounded cornice, echoing the shape of the central window. Enlivened by four bull’s eye windows and limestone trim, the apex frames a projecting limestone element that originally supported a flagpole.

Fiscal 2009 Annual Report Annual Report Table of contents Message of Michel Landel, Chief Executive Officer, Sodexo Our Group Our Strategy Our activities around the world Our Quality of Life solutions – Fiscal 2009 Annual publications Message of Michel Landel, Chief Executive Officer, Sodexo November 2009 Quality of Life: a new global challenge 1. The major issues facing Sodexo today • The year 2009 was marked by the worst financial and economic crisis that we have known since 1929. I will return later to the challenges that we have overcome during this period. • Beyond this difficult environment, the world presents Sodexo with five key challenges today: - First, the aging population of Western countries, which coincides with a very dynamic demographic trend in all emerging markets, except China. For Sodexo, it is at once a challenge -- that of finding the human resources in sufficient number and quality to ensure our development during the next 10 years – but, also an opportunity -- to further develop the Seniors client segment, in which we already hold leadership positions in most countries. - Another global challenge is the environment. In addition to the growing public awareness worldwide and the prospect of a real commitment to action by governments that goes beyond politics -- the recent World Summit on Climate Change in Copenhagen being a perfect illustration -- I believe that companies must take a leading role in mobilizing to meet this challenge. At Sodexo, we have put substantial resources in place to fully play our part in achieving change in environmental practices. Our size and international presence enable us to have a significant impact.
