EXPRESSING CONGRATULATIONS TO JESSICA LOPEZ OF BINMALEY, PANGASINAN FOR BEING THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER OF TIIE 2018 MANINGNING MICLAT ART AWARDS

WHEREAS, the Maningning Miclat Award is an annual national competition which aims to recognize a new breed of young talented artists in honor of the late Maningning Miclat, an award winning artist, poet and educator;

WHEREAS, Jessica Lopez, a native daughter of Gayaman, Binmaley, Pangasinan, was named as the 2018 grand prize winner for her work 'Motion of Life" which defines her belief that no matter how difficult life is, success can be achieved through hardwork and perseverance,

WHEREAS, Jessica Lopez has skillfully and enduringly created her masterpiece through the collection of fish bones from milkfish deboners in City and put them together on a 48x36 inches plywood with black background;

WHEREAS, Jessica Lopz, as gtand prize winner has received cash, a Julie Lluch Dalena Sculpture Trophy and a Maningning Miclat Book Collection during the awarding ceremony held at Far Eastern University held on September 26,2018;

WHEREAS, Jessica Lopez, fondly known as the Lady Fishbone, has autographed her artworks made from fish bones;

WHEREAS, it is but proper and fitting for the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to congratulate a fellow Pangasinense for bringing admiration to the Province and wishing her more success for a brighter future as an artist;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of SP Member Jeremy Agerico B. Rosario and co-authored by all Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, duly seconded, it was -

RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Pangasinan in session assembled to express, as it is hereby expressed, congratulations to Jessica Lopez of Binmaley, Pangasinan for being the Grand Prize Winner of the 201 8 Maningring Miclat Art Awards;

RESOLVED, FINALLY, that a copy of this resolution be fumished to Ms. Jessica Lopez of Binmaley, Pangasinan, for her information.
