Anbefalt løsningsvalg er en ny 420 kV luftledning. Økt utbygging av ny fornybar kraftproduksjon nord for Sognefjorden og de nye mellomlandsforbindelsene til Storbritannia og Tyskland vil øke flaskehalsen på dagens forbindelse. Vi forventer at dette vil gi større prisforskjeller nord og sør for fjorden og økt antall timer med nullpris og vanntap i våte år. Det er også behov for reinvesteringer på forbindelsen de neste tiår. Lønnsomheten av tiltaket er avhengig av fremtidig kraftpris og mengde ny vannkraft nord for Sognefjorden. Det er en begrenset flaskehals over Sognefjorden i dag Perioder med mye nedbør gir et stort kraftoverskudd i området nord for Sognefjorden, hovedsakelig mellom Ørskog stasjon i nord og Sogndal stasjon i sør. Kraften flyter oftest sørover fra Sogn og Fjordane, over Sognefjorden og videre henholdsvis vestover mot BKK-området og østover gjennom Hallingdal mot Østlandet. Det er i hovedsak variasjoner i tilsiget som styrer størrelsen på flyten, der våte perioder gir høyere flyt. I slike perioder kan de to 300 kV-ledningene Aurland-Sogndal og Hove-Sogndal som inngår i snittet over Sognefjorden være en flaskehals. -

Planarbeidet femnar om eigedomane 19, bnr. 1 og 218 samt gnr. 64, bnr. 5 og 482. Planområdet er synt på vedlagt kart (vedlegg 3). I kommuneplanen er området sett av til kombinert føremål bygg og anlegg med krav om reguleringsplan. Området grensar til og overlappar delvis fleire vedtekne reguleringsplanar. Desse ligg det informasjon om på kommunekart.com. Norconsult AS gjennomfører planarbeidet for Sognefjorden Utvikling AS. Formålet med planarbeidet er å legge rammene for utvikling av fyrste byggesteg av Sogndal Fjellandsby der planen skal legge til rette for etablering av servicefunksjonar, fritids- og turistareal med eit bruksareal eks. parkering på opp mot 30.000 m2 og minst 400 – 500 offentleg tilgjengelege parkeringsplassar. Planarbeidet er vurdert til ikkje å verte fanga opp av verkeområdet til forskrifta om konsekvensutgreiingar. Informasjon om planarbeidet er lagt ut på kommunen si internettadresse: http://www.sogndal.kommune.no, under kunngjeringar. Prior to the War of 1812, an Indian runner was dispatched with a war belt of wampum with a request for the Dakotas and Chippewas to meet at the big bend of the Wisconsin River (Portage). While camped on the banks of the Lemonweir, the runner dreamed that he had lost his belt of wampum at his last sleeping place. On waking in the morning, he found his dream to be a reality and he hastened back to retrieve the belt. During the 1820's, the French-Canadian fur traders called the river, La memoire - the memory. The Lemonweir rises in the extensive swamps and marshes in Monroe County. -

For those arriving early, we recommend spending the afternoon strolling the city and discovering the lovely sights of scenic Bergen. City highlights include the old wharf of Bryggen—a UNESCO World Heritage site, centuries-old houses, a vibrant fish and flower market and an interesting range of museums. For a good overview of Bergen, we recommend taking the “Fløibanen” Funicular up the mountainside, which reveals spectacular views. Spend the night in Bergen. Attractions: Bergen, Bryggen, Fløibanen Funicular (Funicular Railway), King Håkon’s Hall, Rosenkrantz Tower DAY 2 DAY 2: EXPERIENCE THE FJORDS BY CAR Start the first leg of your self-drive trip by collecting your rental car and heading to Norway’s adventure capital, Voss, which is home to the beautiful Tvindefossen waterfall. Your journey will then continue to Sogndal along the Sognefjord—Norway’s longest and deepest fjord—taking in sights including the towns of Stalheim, before reaching the beautiful Aurlandsfjord and the town of Flåm. We recommend stopping in Flåm and riding the renowned Flåmsbana railway, a steep train ride between Flåm and Myrdal—a treat for photographers or train enthusiasts alike! A stop at Stegastein viewpoint is recommended, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Aurlandsfjord. Norges Veteranforbund for Internasjonale Operasjonar (NVIO), avdeling Sogn og Fjordane Veteranarbeid i Sogn og Fjordane Kva er ein forsvarsveteran? - Ein veteran er ein norsk statsborgar som har delteke eller deltek i fredsbevarande, fredsopprettande eller statsbyggande innsats i andre land, frå utanriks-, justis- og forsvarssektoren. - 100 000 norske kvinner og menn har tenestegjort i internasjonale operasjonar i over 40 land, i fire verdsdelar – i nesten hundre ulike operasjonar. - Det finnes 100 000 individuelle veteranhistorier rundt om i det langstrakte landet vårt, i overkant av 500 av dei her i Sogn og Fjordane. - Som veteran er ein rett og slett eit menneske med ulike og unike røynsle. Ein person som med uniforma på og flagget på skuldra har valt å reise ut på vegne av Forsvaret. Alle som har delteke i internasjonale operasjonar kan med rette kalle seg veteranar. - Anerkjenning for det ein har vore med på betyr mykje, og interesse frå folk ein har rundt seg er viktig. For enkelte kan overgangen til ein kvardag i fredelege Norge vere stor, og minna ein ber med seg pregar kvardagen til den enkelte veteran i større eller mindre grad. Kvar og ein veteran har si historie, og det at storsamfunnet viser at innsatsen blir respektert og sett pris på er viktig. - Dei aller fleste klarer seg godt etter internasjonal teneste, og er ressurssterke menneske med ekstra erfaringar i ryggsekken. Nokre får traume og fysiske skader, og fleire slit med psykiske etterverknader. Received: 18 August 2017; Accepted: 13 September 2017; Published: 19 September 2017 Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to describe a new way of producing renewable energy based on fjords as a water heater. We will call this system the Water-thermal Energy Production System (WEPS), because the basic idea is to extract heating and cooling energy from water. Although a prototype of WEPS has existed in Norway for more than ten years, a WEPS currently in operation has not been financially analyzed in the literature. Coastal parts of Norway have a potential of 5 TWh of profitable WEPS-facilities, due to convenient access to fjords containing water with stable all-season temperatures of about 4–12 ◦C when the depth of the water is about 50 m. This stability of the water temperature makes it possible to extract energy from the fjord in a very efficient way. The potential for economically-profitable WEPS in other parts of the world has not been estimated. In order to answer such a question, more research is required. We have conducted a case study of a WEPS located in the Norwegian municipality of Eid. This is the first full-scale Norwegian WEPS, and it has been operating since 2006. -
