M5, Junction 6 – take the A4538 signposted Evesham, approx ½ mile you arrive at second roundabout, turn right, signposted Hospital A&E and city centre. Follow road going over motorway and you will see the market on the left. When you get to the next roundabout turn left and the market entrance is 300 metres on the left. From Herefordshire – A44/A4103 to A4440 ring road, turn right going round Worcester following signs towards M5, when arriving at roundabout at top of hill, take left turn now following signs to Hospital A&E, still on the A4440 ring road. At the next roundabout turn right onto Swinesherd Way, follow dual carriageway, straight over first roundabout. You will notice the market on the right hand side, proceed right round the second roundabout, coming back on yourself, the entrance to the market is approx 300 metres on your left. METHOD OF SALE: All sheep will be sold in guineas and in catalogue order unless any alteration is authorized and announced by the Auctioneers. CONDITIONS OF SALE: The sale is held subject to the LAA Conditions of Sale in addition to the Auctioneers General Conditions of Sale. SETTLEMENT AND CLEARANCE OF STOCK: Settlement in full, by cash or cheque, is due to the Auctioneers immediately at the close of the sale. No animals will be permitted to leave the premises without an official pass obtainable upon settlement. ARRIVAL OF STOCK Monday, 2nd August – 2.00pm to 5.00pm Tuesday, 3rd August – 6.00am to 8.30am PEDIGREE CERTIFICATES Please note that entries in the catalogue are made on the understanding that sheep entered will be accompanied to the sale by their Pedigree Certificates. Any sheep presented for inspection without its certificate will not be allowed to be offered for sale in its class. INSPECTION All registered sheep entered and forward at any Show and Sale must be inspected to ensure their tag numbers tally with the catalogue and that they comply with the Society’s breed standard. Any sheep failed by the Inspectors will be removed and penned away from the registered sale section and identified by having red tape around one horn. No rejected sheep may be sold at an Official Show and Sale. Should there be any slight faults with older sheep that the Inspectors wish to pass, the vendor will be informed and told that the Auctioneer will announce the fault before the sheep is sold. Should the vendor refuse permission for this announcement, the sheep will fail its inspection. The Inspectors’ decision will be final. 1 RULES RELATING TO THIS SHOW & SALE A vendor may only show 2 Sheep in each Class Pedigree Certificates of any sheep already registered must be attached to the Sale Entry Form Sheep to be shown to Jacob Sheep Society show regulations as per byelaws. ------oOo----- TAY-SACHS The Jacob Sheep Society runs a scheme whereby sheep are voluntarily tested for a Tay-Sachs marker gene by LGC Laboratories. Animals which have been DNA tested as Tay Sachs clear, have (TSC) added to their registration numbers. Animals with two (TSC) parents have the annotation (~) added to their registration numbers, indicating that they are ‘bred Tay Sachs Clear.’ Any sheep that is tested for Tay Sachs must have its status declared at Official Shows & Sales. ------oOo----- JACOB SHEEP SOCIETY The Jacob Sheep Society, its officers, trustees and servants, shall not be held responsible for any accident, damage or loss however caused.
