! ! ! ! BIO GRACIE OTTO is an Australian filmmaker – writer, director, editor and actor - who works from bases in Sydney, Los Angeles and Paris. She is the daughter of actor Barry Otto and sister of international actress Miranda Otto. She completed an Advanced Diploma in Film at Sydney Film School in 2007. Gracie’s debut feature documentary THE LAST IMPRESARIO, about British producer and playboy Michael White, received critical acclaim at its premiere at the 2013 BFI London Film Festival. Featuring interviews with 60 of his close friends and associates including Naomi Watts, Anna Wintour, John Cleese, Kate Moss, Barry Humphries and Yoko Ono, the film celebrates the legendary man who transformed British culture through hundreds of productions including Oh Calcutta, Rocky Horror, Dame Edna and Monty Python. It is an intimate portrait of a larger than life character. It has since screened at Dubai International Film Festival and has been selected as the Opening Night film at Australia's prestigious DocWeek festival in Adelaide. Gracie has directed five short films – SEAMSTRESS, LA MEME NUIT, TANGO TROIS, BROKEN BEAT AND KILL BLONDES – which have won awards and screened internationally at festivals including Palm Springs, London, Berlin, LA, Paris, Tokyo and Mexico. In 2013 Gracie signed with Filmgraphics Entertainment and directed her first television commercials – a 2 minute stylish fable FASHION LUST for Westfield and for Perth Zoo the quirky WHO AM I? Previous work includes French New Wave inspired trailers for Flickerfest and short webfilms in France for interior designer Francois Champsaur. THREE BLIND MICE also marked her debut as a feature film editor. She was a finalist for the 2010 Inside Film Rising Talent Award, winner of the 2011 InStyle & Audi Women of Style Scholarship and in 2013 won the Qantas SOYA Film Category for her body of work. Celebrity, charity and ambassador associations include Audi, Bulgari, Mimco, Royal Randwick Racing, Tropfest, AACTA and IF Awards, Disaronno, Moet & Chandon, John Jameson and Lipsy. Photographic modeling engagements include InStyle, Who, Cosmopolitan, STIL and Sunday magazines. A keen sportwoman, she has represented Australia in futsal in New Zealand, Canada and Greece, and represented NSW in the 2004 Australian Softball Championships.
