Castle Crashers Pet Locations Castle crashers pet locations Continue Now to find all the animal balls in this game you need a shovel that you get after beating the level of the ship. One pet that can really help you pazzo that will help you find excavation spots or hidden, and how you get it, go to a snow shop and buy it for 750 gold. Let's start with the simplest of the hardest to find. The first pet that is easy to find is a snail that waits for you in the barn on the level in front of the boss of the crown. Meubert pops out of the bushes when you enter the cave after you beat the cone head of the boss. The owl will sing behind the bushes in the thief's forest. In addition, some pets are in stores here some piglet, pazzo (as mentioned earlier), monkeyface, spiny, and pelter and dragonhead which is in a mad store in the PC version. Rummy gets from a mini boss bear when you kill him. Sherbert is at the top of a barn full of pets and you need a high jump or spam 2 attack buttons to reach Sherbert. The zebra is obtained by a guy riding a camel after an alien level ship and you either get a camel or you have a high dexterity. Now set the ball is behind some wires in the alien level of the ship. The rest of the animals are found using either a bomb, a shovel, or antlers, so if you want all the pets be sure to get a pazzo. Finally, there is a secret pet known as the beholder, and it is found with the help of a key weapon found by the cardinal. There is also another golden whale out can't stop crying dlc in the xbox and PS3 version (you have to complete one achievement to get it), or you can get it on the PC version by getting a battleblock theater. This video has really helped me in finding all the animal balls in the game. Ark animals and several animal balls as shown in the Animal Charb section How to play. Animal Orbs, also called pets by many players, are creatures found throughout the game that provide a variety of bonuses and enhancements. Once they are found, these assistants will swim next to the player and provide a bonus. In the Ark of animals are all unlocked balls of the player's animals. When you start the game as another character, all the animal balls will remain unlocked. Once you've touched them and unlocked them, you can just go to the world map instead of finishing the whole level. There are 29 animal balls in the game. (Including DLC) To see where the animal balls are ranked in the remastered version of the game, visit the Animal Orb Tiers page. Beholder Effect: Magic No.2 (Xbox 360/PS3), Magic No.4 (PC/Remastered). Location: Full Moon. With Cardinal Animal Orb, move to a second shack in massive fight Stove Face. The cardinal then move to the shack and reveal the key sword weapons. Get out of the level and go to the blacksmith. In Blacksmith, go to the Ark of animals and to the left of the building, you will see the door locked. Hit Hit Door with newly unlocked sword key and door will unlock. Enter the door, and the Beholder will be in the room with nothing in it. BiPolar Bear Effect: Mauls enemies and bosses with 8% of their overall health left and mauls players and allies with 11 HP or less. Do not hesitate to directly kill the owner if the health is critically low enough. A bipolar bear can also poison, shock, freeze, ignite, or critically impact, depending on the effect of the weapon. Location: Snowy World. Play to the end. Using the Horn, an object found in front of the entrance to the Snow World will appear near the horn sign at the entrance to the cave leading to the level of the Ice Castle and the Bipolar Bear. Required: Horn. Bitey Bat Effect: hovers over the enemy's head at random and holds the enemy in place, while slightly damaging the enemy. The attack is useful for juggling. Bitey Bat can also poison, shock, freeze, ignite or critical impact, depending on the effect of the weapon. Location: Pipitriello Cave. Defeat Pipitrello. Pipistrello will then shrink in size, turning into a Bitey Bat. Wanted: Defeat Pipistrello. Burly Bear Effect: Power No.2 (Xbox 360/PS3), Power No.3 (PC/Remastered). Location: High grass field. Right before climbing the rock leading to Santa Claus and Cyclops, there will be a cleverly camouflaged cave with a giant boulder blocking the entrance. Using the Sandwich element, later found in the game, remove the boulder and enter the cave. There will be a crack of the wall near the entrance. Using 3 bombs, items that you can buy before entering Tall Grass Field or if they play as Conehead, Royal Guard or Gray Knight, use your Magic Projectile or aerial projectile to break down the cracked wall. After that, enter the open wall and move to the right, Burly Bear will be there. Required: Sandwich and 2 bombs. Cardinal Chicken Effect: Power No.1, Defense No.1, Agility No.1. Location: Medusa's Lair. Located at the near beginning of the level. There will be a excavation site. Using Shovel, a item found in front of Medusa's lair, dig a stain and the chicken will emerge out of it. Required: Shovel. Dragonhead Effect: periodically shoots fireballs at enemies. Location: Frogglet effect: lifts objects with his tongue and places them under it. Items can still disappear in his hands. Location: Marsh. In the cemetery, right under the mausoleum, there will be a place of excavation. Using Shovel, an item found in front of the swamp, dig up the spot and Frogglet will come out of it. Required: Shovel. Giraffe effect: increases xp profit by 10% (1.1x). Location: Desert. Play through more than 22nd level point. There will be a excavation site. Using Shovel, an item found in the level itself dig out the spot and the giraffey will come out of it. Required: Shovel. Golden Whale Hawkster Effect: Attacks enemies of late on the ground and recovering from any enemy who is killed if he sees them killed, except in very specific circumstances that prevent Hawkster from extracting fruit. It can only have one fruit at a time. If multiple enemies perish or go down to earth at once, Hawkster will randomly choose which enemy to peck at. If you're playing a multiplayer game, your allies can get fruit from Hawkster by hitting fruit before Hawkster flies towards you. All the pecks do 1 damage that earns you XP with every peck. The Hawkster can also poison, kick, freeze, ignite, or critically impact, depending on the effect of the weapon. Location: High grass field. Located at the very beginning of the level, after a battle with the first group of enemies. There's going to be a hut with a horn sign. Using The Horn, an object found much later in the game, next to the horn sign in the hut and Hawkster will slowly appear. Required: Horn. Set Ball Effect: Periodically shoots enemies with a purple-colored plasma ball. Location: Alien ship. During the countdown phase, it must be somewhat difficult to see the doorway. Enter it and set the ball can be found on the right side of this little room. Meubert effect: agility number 3 (Xbox 360/PS3), agility number 4 (PC/Remastered). Location: Parade. After completing the Level of the Parade or the launch of the Cyclops Cave level, the exit from the cave entrance from the beginning of the level of Cyclops Cave and Meuburta will be there outside the entrance to the cave. Exploration in a Reverse-RPG Robogeddon, a Casual Real-Time Strategy Game A Major Qualifying Project Report submitted to the Faculty of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute in partial fulfillment of the requirements of the Degree of Bachelor of Science On April 28th, 2010 Submitted By: Riley Brown, Sean Crepeau, Karl Gibson, Adam Pastorello, Philip Tang, and Ian Williams Advised By: Professor Joseph Farbrook, Professor Jennifer deWinter and Professor Joseph Beck Exploration in a Reverse RPG – Robogeddon, a Casual Real-Time Strategy Game Abstract This report discusses the design, implementation, and analysis of Robogeddon, a casual real-time- strategy game for the PC, and was created as a WPI MQP for the computer science, interactive media and game development, and professional writing majors. Players in Robogeddon have the unique experience of taking on the role of an overwhelming agent of destruction, in contrast to the typical heroic archetype of many role-playing-games. Robogeddon incorporates “tried and true” elements from classic RTS games, as well as unique new features to attract more casual gamers. This report details the designers’ vision, in terms of artistic style and theme, as well as gameplay and the player experience. Additionally, the report will describe the approach to implementation and the challenges therein. Finally, the creators of Robogeddon describe the lessons learned from the process, and advice to future teams at WPI and beyond. 2 Exploration in a Reverse RPG – Robogeddon, a Casual Real-Time Strategy Game Acknowledgements We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Professors Farbrook, deWinter, and Beck for their continual guidance in bringing our vision to life.

Independent Video Games and the Games ‘Indiestry’ Spectrum: Dissecting the Online Discourse of Independent Game Developers in Industry Culture by Robin Lillian Haislett, B.S., M.A. A Dissertation In Media and Communication Submitted to the Graduate Faculty of Texas Tech University in Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY Approved Dr. Robert Moses Peaslee Chair of Committee Dr. Todd Chambers Dr. Megan Condis Dr. Wyatt Philips Mark Sheridan Dean of the Graduate School December, 2019 Copyright 2019, Robin Lillian Haislett Texas Tech University, Robin Lillian Haislett, December 2019 ACKNOWLEDGMENTS This is the result of the supremely knowledgeable Dr. Robert Moses Peaslee who took me to Fantastic Fest Arcade in 2012 as part of a fandom and fan production class during my doctoral work. This is where I met many of the independent game designers I’ve come to know and respect while feeling this renewed sense of vigor about my academic studies. I came alive when I discovered this area of study and I still have that spark every time I talk about it to others or read someone else’s inquiry into independent game development. For this, I thank Dr. Peaslee for being the catalyst in finding a home for my passions. More pertinent to the pages that follow, Dr. Peaslee also carefully combed through each malformed draft I sent his way, narrowed my range of topics, encouraged me to keep my sense of progress and challenged me to overcome challenges I had not previously faced. I feel honored to have worked with him on this as well as previous projects.

And even if that’s not the kind of thing you’re into—maybe you don’t know what Fortnite is or the last console you owned was a Sega Genesis, but still, hear me out. You’re gonna wanna keep listening. For the better part of a decade, the video game industry has made more in revenue than Hollywood. Year after year. It’s not even close anymore. The two industries have a fair amount in common. Both movies and video games take enormous amounts of work to produce—work that spans dozens of disciplines, sometimes employing thousands of people on a single project. There are big studios, small studios, indie projects, multibillion dollar franchises. But the video game industry—at least compared to film and TV—is relatively new. It’s changing constantly. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. And the folks who make these games, most of them don’t have the same protections movie crews find in, say, a union or guild. Jason Schreier has made a career reporting on exactly that.

We’re a tiny little indie game company based in Seattle. www.spiderwebsoftware.com Twitter: @spiderwebsoft Blog: http://jeff-vogel.blogspot.com/ We have written a bunch of low-budget fantasy role- playing games for Windows, Mac, and iPad… Key point: all of our games are very similar. What I won’t call it: The Indie Bubble (a great clickbaity name, but not really accurate) Or, God Help Us, the Indiepocalypse (No. Nobody believes indie games are actually going away.) I will tell my story of the Indie Glut. I’ll use sales figures for 4 of my games (released 2010-2015) as illustration. A story of the Indie Boom that needs to be proven: It started around 2008. 1. AAA innovation not so great. 2. Games like Braid, World of Goo, and Castle Crashers prove indies are good.

DMO5670 BUSHIDO BOTS The Development of a Polished Online Multiplayer Experience in 2D A Major Qualifying Project Report submitted to the Faculty of the WORCESTER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE In partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Science Submitted by Wyatt Gray and Shane Daley with assistance from Jeffrey Thomas and advised by Professor Dean O’Donnell Abstract Bushido Bots is an IMGD MQP in which a team of three students concepted, developed, tested, and refined a two-dimensional, 12-player online game in the Unity3D engine. Our conceptual focus was developing a game that’s polish and entertainment value approaches that of professionally developed products. Each of the game’s art assets and animations was carefully hand-drawn by our artists. Bushido Bots blends familiar mechanics from popular games to deliver a unique yet easily approachable experience. 1 Acknowledgements We would like to thank Dean O’Donnell, our project advisor, who helped us through the stressful and fragile game development process by offering techniques, input, and encouragement through seven months of development. Keith Zizza for his valuable advice in the development of our robot voices. Michael Grossfeld for recommending the ex2D software to expedite (and make possible) the development of our game using the Unity3D engine. All of our playtesters, for their tremendously valuable feedback and encouragement. And, of course, a tremendous thank you to Jeffrey Thomas, who graciously agreed to put himself through enormous hardship over three terms of Independent Study credit in order to program our technically ambitious game completely on his own. Bushido Bots simply would not exist without him.

So for Monday just to really settle expectations for what we're doing on Mondays, we are doing rehearsals of presentations. You do not need to do the demo of your game part of the rehearsal. You do need to do the actual talk. That means we're asking for the visual slides, any visuals you're going to use. Go through the full talk as if you're going to do it. Don't try to speed through it. If it's in outline mode, then maybe you're testing the actual material that you're going to be going through. Please pay attention to all the talks that you're listing to. Give them feedback. Based on ethnographic research conducted at indie accelerator Execution Labs from January to June of 2015, this thesis explores how indie developers frame risk, creativity, success, and failure in relation to the communities they are a part of. The first three chapters highlight useful concepts from Gina Neff’s ‘Venture Labour’ (2012), describe Execution Labs from the researcher’s perspective, and detail the researcher’s approach to collaborative embedded ethnography, respectively.
