Ltd., Yamuna Nagar- 135001 (Haryana) 39.50 Hectares has been granted to, from Director of Mines and Geology Department, Govt. of Haryana vide Memo No. DMG/Hy/Cont/Begampur Block/YNR B 37/2015/3935 dated 19/06/2015. The details of the project proponent and project are given below: Name of the Applicant Shri Inder Pal Singh M/s Yamuna Infradevelopers Pvt. Ltd. Admin Office-111, Name and Address of Applicant Santpura Road, Model Town, Yamuna Nagar- 135001, Haryana. Name of Mine Begampur Block/YNR B 37, (Yamuna Nagar) Mineral Boulder, Gravel and Sand Area 39.50 Hectares Status of Project New lease 2.2 Brief description of Nature of the Project The proposed mining lease area is 39.50 Hectares of Begampur Block/YNR B 37, Yamuna Nagar; Haryana is located on 3 Km of NH 73A in West Direction and 12.32 Km of SH 57 in East Direction. It has been proposed to excavate approximately 7,11,000 Tons/annum of Boulder, Gravel and Sand from the bed of outside Yamuna River/Private and Goverment Agricultural land. The mine site will be filled with soil carried from nearby area by proponent and trees will be planted on it; hence the ultimate land use of the mine lease area will not change after systematic and scientific mining. 2.3 Need for the Project and Its Importance to the Country or Region Building huge infrastructure as envisaged by Government of India/Haryana Government particularly in road and housing sector requires basic building and construction raw materials. The Boulder, Gravel and Sand is one of primary building material required for the purpose. The mining activities as proposed are the backbone of all construction and infrastructure projects as the raw material for construction is made available only from such mining. The Boulder, Gravel and Sand to be excavated is in high demand at the local market for real estate and infrastructure industry. This project will also provide employment to local people helping them earn livelihood. 2.4 Demands-Supply Gap The demand for Boulder, Gravel and Sand is ever growing with the growth of the infrastructure sector in our country. The mineral is used mainly in the construction activities like roads, buildings, bridges etc specially in NCR. The requirement for the mineral is always high in the nearby cities and towns. Therefore there is always a good demand of the mineral in the domestic market. 2.5 Imports vs. Indigenous Production The demand in the domestic market is high Boulder, Gravel and Sand mineral is available in abundant quantity in the leased area and can be excavated indigenously. Import does not apply in the present case of Boulder, Gravel and Sand mining. 2.6 Export Possibility There is no proposal to export the minierls (Boulder, Gravel and Sand). 2.7 Domestic/ Export Markets Domestic Market The Boulder, Gravel and Sand excavated will be directly sold in the market. • District Survey Report for Sustainable Sand Mining Distt. Yamuna Nagar
DISTRICT SURVEY REPORT FOR SUSTAINABLE SAND MINING DISTT. YAMUNA NAGAR The Boulder, Gravel and Sand are one of the most important construction materials. These minerals are found deposited in river bed as well as adjoining areas. These aggregates of raw materials are used in the highest volume on earth after water. Therefore, it is the need of hour that mining of these aggregates should be carried out in a scientific and environment friendly manner. In an endeavour to achieve the same, District Survey Report, apropos “the Sustainable Sand Mining Guidelines” is being prepared to identify the areas of aggradations or deposition where mining can be allowed; and identification of areas of erosion and proximity to infrastructural structural and installations where mining should be prohibited and calculation of annual rate of replenishment and allowing time for replenishment after mining in that area. 1. Introduction:- Minor Mineral Deposits: 1.1 Yamunanagar district of Haryana is located in north-eastern part of Haryana State and lies between 29° 55' to 30° 31 North latitudes and 77° 00' to 77° 35' East longitudes. International Journal of Advanced Research in Management and Social Sciences ISSN: 2278-6236 PERFORMANCE OF INDIAN NATIONAL CONGRESSIN HARYANA ASSEMBLY ELECTION 2009 Suman* Neeraj** INTRODUCTION In most of the modern states with large areas and population, the government is run by the representatives, who are elected by the people. For electing the representatives, elections are necessary. Elections are fought generally on party basis, though some candidates fight elections as independent candidates. The party, which gets a majority, forms the government. If the representatives, during their tenure, do not work for the welfare of the people, they can be replaced at the time of next elections. In this way, people maintain their control over the government because their representatives know that they can be voted out of power in the next elections if they do not satisfy the people and work for their welfare. Free and fair elections are the basic characteristics of a democracy by which representative are elected. India is one of the largest democracies of the world where the Member of Parliament (MPs) and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and administrator at local level are elected directly by the people. For electing the representatives, elections are necessary. MPs and MLAs elections are fought generally on party basis, though some candidates fight elections as independent candidates. In the post-independence period only ‘Indian National Congress’ was the strongest political party. But in present time the regional parties are becoming powerful. The electoral contest between national parties and regional parties has drawn attention of the political geographers and elections are considered essential for the development of the country.
