1. Apologies for absence To receive apologies for absence.

2. Variation of order of business To receive any requests for a variation to the order of business. There was a request to deal with agenda item 18.1.2 under exempt items due to personnel confidentiality.

9. Clerk’s report – information

9.1 Update on Council Aims and Objectives 2020-2025 Council Aims and Objectives 2020-2025; action plan enclosed. Members to review and Committees/Working Groups provide updates where appropriate. The document will be issued quarterly for future updates.

9.2 Covid-19 update An update following the announcement by the government of a national lockdown commencing on 5 January 2021: Outdoor facilities are open, with signage advising of government guidelines. No groups are permitted to use the Parish Hall. The Library is continuing to operate a Click and Collect service.

9.3 Winter Neighbourhood Scheme update We have 16 participants this year, delivery of grit made on 9 January 2021.

9.4 Deer Park car park maintenance Cllr Nelms, along with members of the Bowls Club have requested that the car park at the Deer Park has some maintenance completed to repair pot holes; quotes are pending.

10.1 Co-option of Parish Councillor – Woodthorpe Ward Woodthorpe Vacancy co-option, one expression of interest received; report enclosed.

10.2 Pedestrian Safety Proposal from Cllr Collins regarding a campaign for pedestrian safety on narrow roads in Wingerworth, proposal enclosed.

10.3 Request for Grit Bin on Martins Lane Request from a resident for a grit bin for Martins Lane, cost for a 60l bin £120; correspondence enclosed

10.4 Request for expenditure at the Bowling Pavilion; £1,000 Request from the Bowls Club to match fund a grant of £1,000 from Sports - Return To Play. This is to improve the facilities in the clubhouse, providing hot water for hand washing inside and outside the clubhouse, along with sanitiser stations. This is to ensure the facility is Covid-19 safe for a return to the sport in April 2021.

10.5 Request to support Woodland Trust trees proposal Proposal from Cllrs Adlington-Stringer, Nelms and Knyhynyckyj – no cost to procure the trees, ongoing maintenance cost estimated at £2,925.

Notes: Members have submitted Declarations of Interest forms to the District Council and these are available as a matter of public record. Any interests not registered in this way that are relevant to this agenda should be entered on the Declaration of Interest Sheet prior to the start of the meeting and must indicate the action to be taken, whether to leave the meeting or to stay in the meeting without participating in either discussion or voting on the relevant item.
