Director John Sutter, Ward 2 Facts about the East Bay Regional Park District (Oakland) Director About us: Founded in 1934, the East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) is the largest Ayn Wieskamp, Ward 5 local park agency in the United States, with 65 parks on approximately 119,000 acres (Livermore) and 1,250 miles of trails in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. The majority ($109.8 million) is General Fund revenue, with the next largest portion ($28.8 million) levied for debt service relat- ed to Measures AA and WW bonds. 12.1% of District revenue is from fees and charges for services; and 2.5% is from investment interest and property use. Measure WW, the $500 million bond extension approved by the voters in 2008, will fund Regional Park ac- quisitions and capital projects. Additionally, 25% of the bond proceeds will be awarded to cities, special park and recreations districts, and county service areas for local park East Bay and recreation projects.
