New construction has led the way in the adoption of natural resource resiliency and fire safety. , Los Angeles County and the City of Los Angeles have some of the highest fire mitigation and enforcement standards in the Country. So, what is the need for this interim ordinance and what would it achieve?

For these reasons, we urge the Planning and Land Use Management Committee to Oppose this Ordinance. We believe that the Committee can work with City Staff to identify alternative solutions to meet the goals sought through this Item.
