Talento Sharona
THE KNACK sono stati spesso sottovalutati, nonostante abbiano prodotto pezzi di grandissimo valore come Good Girls Don’t e Baby Talks Dirty. -

DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC MASTER’S THESIS THE DFENDERS: An Analysis of the Studio Production Process NAME: Adon Christian Michael Moskal PAPER: Master of Music, Composition (Studio Production) SUPERVISORS: Dr. Graeme Downes, Mr. John Egenes DUE: February 26, 2008 ABSTRACT A brief discussion of recording concepts as proposed by composer/producer Brian Eno prefaces an in-depth examination of the recording techniques used to produce The DFenders, an album of original ‘Eighties-esque’ pop songs. Drawing on a number of notable pop/rock musicians from the Eighties, particularly New Wave artists, The DFenders utilises vintage equipment and recording techniques to produce a ‘retro’ pop album in the modern day recording studio. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS I would like to thank the following people for their invaluable support throughout the undertaking of this thesis: For assistance during the recording process: Rob Burns, Marcel Rodeka, Luke Herlihy, Mike Carter, Matt Taine, Paul Young, John Egenes, Philippa Greer, Chris Ashton, Mike Holland (technical support), Lou Kewene (technical support), and Mary-Jane Campbell. For assistance with the written component: Graeme Downes, John Egenes, Henry Johnson, Nancy McGuire and Mike Moskal. Also, thank you to Hannah Green and Jenna Todd for their assistance in shooting the album cover.
