Haryana Tourism organises FAM Tour of ADTOI delegates to Gardens

A delegation of 45 members of the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of (ADTOI) visited the majestic Pinjore Gardens on Sunday morning as a part of their „Desh Dekho Desh Khojo‟ initiative undertaken by the Association to promote domestic tourism far and wide. The delegates took a round of the landmark set in the foothills of Shiwalik ranges and were delighted to see the grandeur of the Mughal terrace gardens.

Later, Sh Sameer Pal Srow, Managing Director, Haryana Tourism Corporation while addressing the ADTOI delegates at Red Bishop Tourist Complex, , said that the state of Haryana is endowed with the pre-Indus Valley civilisation sites, and the recent excavations at in Hissar district of Haryana suggest that human civilisation existed many thousand years before what is historically documented. He also said that Haryana has a rich heritage and history that can be witnessed at Pinjore Gardens, built in the 17th century; Nahar Singh Palace in Ballabhgarh dates back to the 18th century and intricately-carved monuments in .

Sh Srow further gave a presentation to the ADTOI delegates to take them through various facets of Haryana Tourism including its Tourist Complexes, Farm Tourism, Adventure Tourism, Golf Tourism, new projects and fairs & festivals. Sh Srow also extended a warm invitation to all the members of the delegation to visit the forthcoming Mela to be held at Pinjore Gardens on 2nd & 3rd July, 2016. The delegation was also shown videos about Haryana Tourism and International Crafts Mela.

Sh Sanjay Aggarwal, Vice President, ADTOI, exclaimed that the FAM (Familiarisation) Tour organised by Haryana Tourism has revealed to them the hidden tourist spots of Haryana with immense potential. “We have now gathered the requisite information about Haryana and will promote it as a complete tourist destination among prospective travellers by developing tour packages,” he asserted.

Sh Upender Singhal and Sh Madan Mohan Chhabra of Vision , an NGO, took this opportunity to make a presentation on Gita Jayanti Festival celebrated every year to mark the birth of Srimad Bhagwad Gita in the end of November or early December at Kurukshetra. The representatives of Vision Kurukshetra proposed activities that could take Gita Jayanti festival to an international level, and sought support from ADTOI delegates to contribute in various capacities like making tour packages, offering tenting options and promoting the festival.
