The idea of local art exposed boldly on the façade provide a unique look and feel to the Terminal building, at the same time using this idea in the interiors through a sophisticated use of new materials which provide local character and depict local art. Skylights have been used at various intervals, strategically provided so that ample daylight is available in all areas. Maintaining the fluidity of the building elevation, the plan has also been developed with a fluid intent incorporating landscape areas inside the building that provide relief space for the passengers. This free flowing form has been further accentuated at arrival & departure areas, in form of landscaped courts, inside the terminal building which can act as a relief to the areas. The terminal planning also allows maximum non-traffic revenue generation by having most interior walls utilized for retail opportunities and locating the services towards the back, rather than facing the public concourse area.
