Pare che il titolo con l'articolo inglese, 'The Suicide Squad', sia stato proposto da James Gunn quasi per scherzo ma alla Warner l'hanno accettato, come a dire che questa è LA squadra suicida mentre quella del film precedente, beh, è meglio dimenticarla. Non si tratta di un sequel, ma neppure di un reboot, perché riprende alcuni personaggi anche se non cita mai esplicitamente i fatti di altri film in cui sono apparsi.
