Historical Note:

Peter Norbeck was born on August 27, 1870, outside of Vermillion in the Dakota Territory. He served two terms as South Dakota’s governor and three terms as a U. S. Senator. He is largely known for obtaining the funds to build Mount Rushmore. Norbeck died on December 20, 1936. Arrangement:
