Organisation The Global Games Sports Company (GGSC): globalgames2019.org 2. Sanctioned by INAS - International Federation for athletes with intellectual impairments IPC – International Paralympic Committee (World Para Swimming and World Para Athletics) ITTF – International Table Tennis Federation (Factor 20) 3. Classification Classification will be offered from 10-13 October 2019 depending on the sport World Para Athletics – Classification World Para Swimming – Classification International Table Tennis Federation – Classification https://inas.org/about-us/athlete-eligibility/classification-para-sport 4. Host City Brisbane is the capital of Queensland and is the third most populated city in Australia. Brisbane’s metropolitan area has a population of 2.4 million. The Brisbane Central Business District (CBD) stands on the historic European settlement and is situated inside a bend of the Brisbane river. Blessed with sunny days and an insatiable love of the outdoors, Brisbane is sports mad. It boasts some of the best sporting facilities in the world, with competition and training venues conveniently located in close proximity to visitor accommodation and the CBD. Brisbane is also a sophisticated city bursting with culture: when athletes and spectators aren’t at the Games, there’s an endless range of excellent entertainment, dining, shopping and options to be enjoyed. Plus, outside of the city, there are plenty of places to visit to enjoy unique experiences such as hand-feeding dolphins, surfing, wine tasting and hiking. 6. Airport and Transfers Brisbane has an International Airport approximately 20 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD and the Global Games Hotels. Each delegation will be welcomed upon arrival at Brisbane Airport by GGSC personnel and will be taken directly to the Accreditation precinct. GGSC will also provide transport for delegations to Brisbane Airport on departure. 7. Transport The GGSC will provide transport to and from training and competition each day. 8. Visa Requirements Most countries require a Visa to enter Australia. More information will be available in the coming months on the website and Sport80 portal: inassport80.com 9. Sport Events Please see following page for schedule. 10. Accommodation Hotels are situated in the Brisbane CBD. Accommodation is based on Three (3+) star hotels. Delegations can request accommodation in four (4) to five (5) star accommodation for a slightly increased cost. Entry Fee and INAS Capitation Fee The Entry fee per person includes the INAS capitation fee for all members of the delegation (athletes and team officials). Timeline of Entry Fees – Online Expression of Interest (EOI) Close EOI & 1st Entry by Number 3 December 2018 2nd Entry Confirmation by Number 12 April 2019 20% of Base Entry Fee # 3rd Entry by Name 4 July 2019 30% of Team Costs ## Final Entry 12 August 2019 Balance of Team Costs # Base Entry Fee is calculated on $1690 individual entry fee (based on twin share). ## Team Costs is calculated on data entered by INAS Member nation on online entry portal. 13. Eligibility All athletes entering the event must appear on the INAS Master List no later than the final entry deadline – 12 August 2019. It is strongly advised that applications for new athletes be submitted to INAS by 12th May 2019. Athletes who do not appear on the INAS Master List are not eligible for this event. According to INAS Rules and Policies, all nine Global Games sports and two demonstration sports are open to II1 category: athletes with an intellectual impairment. The following sports will also include II2 (currently offered to athletes with Down syndrome) and II3 (athletes with high functioning Autism) - Athletics, Swimming, Table Tennis and Tennis. These events may be subject to change depending on the number of entries received. Doping Controls The INAS Global Games is subject to random doping tests in accordance with the INAS Anti-Doping Policy, details of which can be found at: https://inas.org/about-us/anti-doping-policy. Any athlete taking medication needs to complete the INAS Therapeutic Usage Exemption TUE or where necessary and submit to the INAS Head of Anti-doping well in advance of their arrival to Brisbane for the 2019 INAS Global Games. These forms are available on the INAS website.
