PE Pillar Students of the week.

Each week the PE staff will nominate 6 pupils who demonstrate the pillars in class or PE extra-curricular clubs. As well as being published in our newsletter their names will go up on our Pillar star board which can be found in the PE department.

Effort: Lewis Bridger – always giving 100% in lesson and year 9 football club. Commitment: Tyrshondre Petralia – attending rowing club every lunch time to help improve his fitness and get higher on the rowing leaderboard. Community: Alisha Hissoob – being a part of the boxing club and not missing a session. Independence: Lynn Kacou – worked hard in her fitness and table tennis class. Teamwork: Nicol Ramos Nardello – showed great teamwork when playing dodgeball this week. Enthusiasm: Prince Tonmi – always enthusiastic about taking part in PE extra-curricular clubs.

Sky Sports Living for Sport

Our APA Sky Sports Living for Sport Group got a special visit this week from their athlete mentor Kate Haywood – Kate Emma Haywood is an English former elite swimmer who competed for Great Britain in the Olympics, FINA world championships, and European championships, and represented in the Commonwealth Games. The group also took part in a co-operation session with Mr Sheehan on Thursday and learned the rules of dodgeball before team Rhys beat team Kenny in an epic dodgeball battle.

If you would like to be on the APA Rugby team get down to training on Monday after school.
