Please join us for an exciting Summer Camp! Our theme-based programs will include trips, special programs, learning activities, and water play. There will be lots of hands-on fun! We look forward to seeing you this summer!

Weekly Themes

Week 1 June 24th through June 28th Theme: Let’s Go to the Circus! Join us for a week of circus fun. We will look at different things such as tigers, elephants, and clowns just to name a few.

Trip: On Thursday, June27th, we will travel to Adventure in Camden, . Campers will watch in awe as in a 40-foot surround them. Picture the amazement on their faces as they come within inches of massive hippos gracefully gliding underwater. A nut-free, disposable bag lunch is required for the trip.

Week 2 July 1st through July 5th Theme: Stars and Stripes Get your red, white, and blue out to help us celebrate and learn about our great country! Patriotic songs, flags, firework designs, and red, white, and blue collages will get us ready for America’s birthday! Hooray for the Red, White, and Blue!

Special Program: On Tuesday, July 2nd, Art Attack will present a Dr. Seuss’s Thing 1 and Thing 2 art activity. A fabulous lesson in art technique will be provided to the campers while creating a memorable keepsake!

Weeks 3 July 8th through July 12th Theme: Exploring Nature Campers will go on a nature adventure without even leaving ADLC! Through exploration, adventure, and creative play, campers will work together to gain knowledge of plants, mammals, and birds.

Trip: On Tuesday, July 9th, we will travel to Turtle Back in West Orange, New Jersey. The campers will have the opportunity to see many animals. Turtle Back Zoo is the perfect size for children. A nut-free, disposable bag lunch is required for the trip.

Week 4 July 15th through July 19th Theme: Creative Construction When the construction whistle blows, get ready to build! Campers will explore how to build with different materials such as cardboard boxes, LEGOS, and newspaper. Make a geometric shape with pasta and marshmallows! Will it stand all by itself?

Special Program: On Wednesday, July 17th, Art Attack will present “Fluff and Stuff Animal Junction”. Each student will have a magical experience bringing their very own bear to life by hand-stuffing it and making a wish on rainbow star.

Week 5 July 22nd through July 26th Theme: Space Adventures 3, 2, 1…lift off! From our atmosphere to the outer reaches of our solar system, this hands-on program sends campers on a quest for exploration. Comets, planets, stars, and more, are waiting to be discovered!

Special Program: On Wednesday, July 24th, Mad Science will present “Stellar Space”. The students will discover the wonders of space in this exciting and interactive class. They will learn about, and see beautiful photos of our planet Earth, the sun and moon, and all the planets in our Solar System. We'll even take a pretend trip to the moon where they’ll collect moon rocks and take a moonwalk just like real astronauts!

Week 6 July 29th through August 2nd Theme: Tropical Rainforest It’s time to jump onto the magic school bus and explore the tropical rainforest. The campers will learn about the layers of the rainforest, weather, animals and animal habitats.

Trip: On Thursday, August 1st, we will travel to Brunswick Zone Carolier in North Brunswick. Campers will enjoy a game of bowling and a pizza lunch.

Week 7 August 5th through August 9th Theme: Lizards, Snakes, and Frogs Did you know that there are 6,800 reptile species on earth? The major groups are alligators and crocodiles, turtles, lizards, and snakes. Come join us on a journey to explore the life cycles and habitats of these slimy creatures.

Special Program: On Thursday, August 8th, Full Effect Productions will present “The Turtle Show”. This show features a variety of live turtles and Tortoises from around the world including an Ornate Wood Turtle, Eastern Box Turtle, and a Red Footed Tortoise.

Week 8 August 12th through August 16th Theme: Art Appreciation Learn about famous modern artists this summer. Paint like Picasso and practice printmaking like Andy Warhol. Experiment with fun drip painting like Pollack and create your own sculpture. Art projects and games will inspire our young artists.

Special Program: On Tuesday, August 13th, Petals will present “Comedy Magic Show”. Besides just the magic, campers will love the comedy, silliness and funny antics that lead to the magic happening.

Week 9 August 19th through August 23rd Theme: Wild Wild West Saddle-up and come down the dusty trail to learn about the Wild Wild West. Campers will celebrate the old West through stories, sports, and hands-on activities.

Trip: On Tuesday, August 20th, we will travel to Wild West City in Netcong, NJ. The students will be immersed in the sights, sounds, smells and feel of the Old West as the knowledgeable staff recreates from days gone by. A nut-free, disposable bag lunch is required for the trip.

Week 10 August 26th through August 29th Theme: Wacky Fun Week This week will bring many surprises and you won’t know what is coming next! Wacky Fun Week will keep you guessing at what activity may be around the corner. Crazy hair day, Halloween costumes, and more!
