THIS AGREEMENT IS A LEGAL CONTRACT BETWEEN YOU, THE END USER, AND STAT CREW SOFTWARE, INC. GOVERNING YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE. INSTALLING AND/OR USING ANY PART OF THIS PRODUCT INDICATES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THIS AGREE- MENT. STAT CREW SOFTWARE, INC. (hereinafter referred to as STATCREW), has developed a propri- etary computer software product known as THE STAT CREW SYSTEM® and associated docu- mentation (hereinafter collectively referred to as the SOFTWARE). STATCREW hereby grants to the purchaser of this software (hereinafter referred to as the End User) and the End User hereby accepts a personal, nonexclusive and non-transferable li- cense to use the SOFTWARE subject to the following terms and conditions: 1. USE OF THE SOFTWARE: The End User agrees to install and run the SOFTWARE on no more than 2 computers concurrently. A separate license must be purchased from STAT- CREW for concurrent use of the SOFTWARE on more than 2 computers. 2. COPYRIGHTS OF the SOFTWARE: The End User agrees that STATCREW retains exclusive ownership of the SOFTWARE and the copyrighted name. the SOFTWARE is copyrighted and may not be further copied or modified without the approval of STATCREW. Unauthorized copying is in violation of this agreement and may constitute a violation of the United States Copyright Law. The End User may not use, modify, copy, resell, lease, sublicense, loan or re- produce the SOFTWARE, or any part of it, except as allowed in this agreement. 3. PROTECTION AND SECURITY: The End User acknowledges that all techniques and processes contained in the SOFTWARE are Trade Secrets of STATCREW. The End User agrees to take all necessary steps to safeguard the SOFTWARE and to ensure that no unauthorized person shall have access to it and that no unauthorized copy of any part of it, in any form, shall be made. 4. LIMITED WARRANTY POLICY: (a) Subject to the exceptions set forth in the paragraphs below, if the End User finds the SOFTWARE to be defective, STATCREW will replace it, free of charge (or, at STATCREW's op- tion, refund the purchase price) provided that all copies are completely erased from all com- puters it was installed on, and that the original product and all copies are returned to STATCREW within 30 days from the date of original purchase by the End User. This shall constitute the sole and entire remedy against STATCREW. STATCREW shall not assume liabil- ity for any further damages including, but not by way of limitation, lost profits or other indi- rect or direct consequential damages arising from the End User's use of or inability to use the SOFTWARE. (b) Notwithstanding paragraph 4.(a) above, the SOFTWARE is accepted by the End User "as is". STATCREW does not warrant that the functions of the SOFTWARE will meet the End User's requirements or that operation of the product will be uninterrupted or error-free. STATCREW makes no expressed or implied warranties of any kind with regard to mer- chantability, fitness for a particular purpose or any other warranties. (c) Notwithstanding paragraph 4.(a) above, STATCREW, in any event, will not honor any warranty if the SOFTWARE has been subject to physical abuse, used in an improper manner 6 or is damaged in any way (including, but not limited to, infection by computer viruses) after the End User has accepted delivery. 5. INSTALLATION, TRAINING, UPDATES, AND MAINTENANCE: Unless an addendum to this agreement or additional agreements between the parties state otherwise, STATCREW shall not be required to provide additional assistance to the End User, including but not limited to the following: (a) Installing the SOFTWARE or training of personnel other than what is contained in the SOFTWARE; (b) Providing the End User with any updates or improvements to the SOFTWARE; (c) Continuing maintenance and customer service for the SOFTWARE. 6. TERMINATION OF LICENSE: If the End User breaches any one or more of the provisions of this agreement, this license is automatically terminated, except that the provisions in this agreement that serve to protect STATCREW shall continue in force. In such event, STATCREW shall have the unequivocal right to timely obtain injunctive relief to protect the proprietary rights of STATCREW. Upon such termination, the End User must return this product, the User's Guide and all copies and related diskettes to STATCREW. This license agreement and the licensed product may not be assigned, sublicensed or otherwise transferred to another party without the prior written approval from STATCREW. 7. GENERAL: (a) This Agreement shall be interpreted in accordance with the Laws of the State of Ohio. (b) If any provision of this agreement is deemed invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, the remaining provisions of this agreement shall remain in effect. (c) This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties. It supersedes any previous written or oral agreements or representations relating to the SOFTWARE. 7 1 About STAT CREW For Basketball STAT CREW For Basketball lets you score a basketball game “live” (play-by- play) and view or print a box score at any point during the or after the game. You can also print cumulative season and career statistics immediately after the game has finished. Using TasComs 32 and TasFTP, you can send stats to monitors, scoreboards, and the internet. The minimum system requirements are: CD-ROM drive for software installation MS Windows version XP or Vista Minimum 6 MB disk space available Windows compatible printer Software installation To install the full Windows and DOS software package: 1. Insert the CD into your computer’s CD-ROM drive. 2. When prompted select, “Run setup.exe”. (see first screen below). 3. This will bring you to the STAT CREW software menu. “The STAT CREW System for Basketball” should be blue and you should be able to click on it. 4. When you click on it, it will prompt you for the serial number. Enter the code from the back of the CD case. It is a ten digit num ber that begins with BB-. (see second screen below). After installation After installing STATCREW, you should start the program and select default program options. Take special care to insure you have the appropriate moni- tor and printer types selected. You should also install the Stat Crew Control Panel (refer to Chapter 3 for instructions). The Windows installation creates a “STATCREW” program folder, and adds an icon to the folder to launch the STATCREW program menu. You can use the ALT+ENTER keyboard command to change the DOS display window from full- screen to a window on the desktop, and vice versa. 10 Sample game files When you install STATCREW, a set of sample game files are copied onto your disk so you can easily generate some game and team reports before learning how to use the play-by-play scoring features. The software is initially in- stalled to point to the directory containing this set of sample game files. You might want to score additional plays at the end of this game, score a game from an old play-by-play, from a live practice/exhibition, or score a game from the TV to help you get a feel for how the play-by-play software works.

While past studies have relied solely on statistics traditionally found in a box score, this study included scheduling fatigue and team depth. Multiple models were constructed in which the performance statistics of the competing teams were operationalized in different ways. Absolute models consisted of performance measures as unmodified traditional box score statistics. Relative models defined performance measures as a series of ratios, which compared a team‟s statistics to its opponents‟ statistics. Possession models included possessions as an indicator of pace, and offensive rating and defensive rating as composite measures of efficiency. Play models were composed of offensive plays and defensive plays as measures of pace, and offensive points-per-play and defensive points-per-play as indicators of efficiency. Under each of the above general models, additional models were created to include streak variables, which averaged performance measures only over the previous five games, as well as logarithmic variables. Game outcomes were operationalized and analyzed in two distinct manners - score differential and game winner.

    Smyrna Baseball League – 2021 Spring Season Rules Smyrna Baseball League is governed by the National Federation of High School rules as modified by the below local league rules. In the event a situation is not covered by either set of rules, the rules of Major League Baseball will be applied. All COACH PITCH (5/6 and 7/8) and T-BALL (3/4) Divisions 1. Games will start at 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on weekdays (and 8:30 p.m. on Friday’s for 7/8 Division only as needed). Games will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and continue until all scheduled games are completed that day. The Board will schedule make up games as necessary, normally Wednesday and Sunday. 2. Each Manager must sign the umpire’s scorecard after each game. The completed card becomes the official record of the game score. Game cards must be signed when a game is interrupted as well even if the game is going to be replayed. Before signing the card, each manager shall be given time to review the card and ensure that the team names and TOTAL score (as listed in the total score box) is accurate. 3. Umpires shall designate the official start time and advise the scorekeeper of the time. The first game of each day will start at the scheduled time (i.e. 5:30 p.m. on weekdays and 9:00 a.m. on Saturdays). That game will NOT be started early unless both coaches agree. Subsequent games will start at their scheduled time OR earlier if the field is available.

NYBSA chooses to take advantage of the local option clause relating to playing rules. The following General Playing Rules may also apply to the other baseball leagues. GENERAL PLAYING RULES: I. Start Time: Games will start on time. Time limits are specified for each league. The official start time of the first game of the day will be the scheduled start time. It is up to the teams to be ready to play at this time. There will be a 15-minute grace allowed, if enough players have not arrived to meet the minimum requirements to field a team. An additional exception to this rule would be that the umpires are not ready to begin. For the second and subsequent games, the umpire shall declare the start time of the next game to be ten minutes from the time players have cleared the field from the previous game. It is up to the teams to be ready to play at this time. II. Expiration of time limit: No inning will be started after 1 hour 25 minutes (85 minutes) has been reached. A new inning is considered started at the moment the last out is made in the preceding inning. A new inning is also considered started at the moment the fifth run is scored in the bottom of the preceding inning. III. Less Than Nine Players: If a team fails to field nine players at game time, they may play with eight players.

From there, the goal was to ascertain how teams differed in their portrayals, with the specific dichotomy of interest being between teams heavy in advanced statistics and those heavy in traditional statistics. With advanced baseball statistics still far from being universally accepted among baseball fans, the driving question was whether or not fans that faced greater exposure to advanced statistics would also be more knowledgeable and accepting of them. Thus, based on the results of the content analysis, fans of four of the most advanced teams and four of the most traditional teams were accessed through MLB team subreddits and surveyed. Results initially indicated that there was no difference between fans of teams with advanced versus traditional broadcasts. However, there were clear differences in knowledge based on other factors, such as whether fans had a new school or old school orientation, whether they were high in Schwabism and/or mavenism, and how highly identified they were with the team.
