Since moving to Belgium experience in in I have become involved with European Communities Gaelic Club, which GGE/GAA/LGFA/CA: is a youth club in Brussels since 2010. I have been treasurer for the last 6 years, trained the U11 player and been active in the relocation of the club and recruitment of new players. We currently have 75 children registered with the club. I have organised our attendance at several tournaments abroad includng The Hague, Rennes, Dublin and Madrid. I have undertaken a number of training courses. I have been the European Youth Development Officer since 2015 My role in GGE (brief over of I am the person holding this position and am repsponsible for the under age responsibilities): members of the clubs, ensuring that there are regular games for all under age club members and see that responsible personnel are in charge of youth activities. This involves encouraging teams to attend tournaments, and putting together combined teams where are insufficient numbers or differences in playing standards. Involve parents in helping out at the clubs by: – Attending Coaching Courses – Assisting with coaching of players – Assisting in training young referees – Providing and arranging transport – Caring for jerseys, footballs, hurleys etc.. Develop high standards of presentation, sportsmanship and discipline among youth. Encourage the Youth Section to plan the year ahead. Examine how they could improve matters within the club in relation to: Coaching, Games, Promotion of Games, Social/Cultural Activities, Special Projects etc. Email: [email protected] .
