DAVID M. MONDRESS MEd ’92

DAVID MONDRESS has more than 20 years of experience in professional . Currently, Mr. Mondress is a senior vice president of contracts, research and basketball operations with BDA Sports Management (BDA). BDA is one of the most recognized names in professional sports player management, representing and managing the careers of players in over 20 countries worldwide. Since its founding, BDA represented over 100 NBA players, including two-time former MVP , global icon Ming and current Olympian Klay Thompson. Currently BDA represents approximately 35 NBA players and 55 players internationally.

Mr. Mondress is a certified player agent by the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), involved in all aspects of client representation. His areas of expertise include player contract negotiation, NBA collective bargaining agreement, statistical analytics and analysis, and NBA draft preparation.

Mr. Mondress began his career in professional basketball at the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) where he became one of the foremost experts on the NBA salary cap and collective bargaining agreement. At the NBPA, Mr. Mondress was the Player’s Association in-house salary cap expert, providing both players and agents with collective bargaining interpretation, advice and education. In this capacity, Mr. Mondress was a key member of the NBPA collective bargaining negotiation team.

Mr. Mondress has years of experience in finance, business valuation and accounting. He holds a master’s degree in sport management from Temple University, a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and a CPA license in the state of Oregon, where he resides with his wife and two children.
