The rst Gibtelecom Rock Cup culminated with the nal held on 28 May 2017. This saw Europa FC beat rivals Lincoln Red Imps FC by 3-0

In December 2016 Gibtelecom signed a four year deal as main sponsors of the Gibtelecom Rock Cup, following a partnership arrangement between the GFA and Gibtelecom. For many years this tournament has been known as the Rock Cup. This is a knockout competition between all the Gibraltar Football Clubs and is modelled on the UK’s FA Cup.

Lifting the Gibtelecom Rock Cup has seen winners Europa FC complete a historical treble. The club also won the  rst division league and Pepe Reyes Cup, and will go on to represent Gibraltar in the UEFA Champions League. Runners up Lincoln Red Imps will participate in the UEFA Europa League.
